After extensive researching value and features and testing soundbars at the store, I believe this one is a great buy. At the store, the Vizio soundbars provided the more/ better spacial / stereo separation sound. There is another Vizio soundbar 2.0 that comes with the wireless subwoofer but does not have HDMI input so, despite having a good sound an value, when playing blu-rays it won't be able to handle as better as other soundbars with HDMI (ARC). Now, this 3.0 soundbar DOES HAVE HDMI (ARC) Input, which makes the connection to your Tv a breeze and is future proof to handle all sound features from modern movies, versus the 2.0 soundbar with only optical. The other reason I got it is because had an extra center channel for voice and a Subwoofer connection in the back, so you can add one later on, which is what I did. I bought the POLK 10" Subwoofer for only $99 from Bestbuy, normally sells for $199, so I recommend keep looking on the website and get it as soon as goes on sale. Don't trust Bestbuy sales associates, at first they told me I was not going to able to add an active sub to my soundbar which turned out to be untrue. If you can buy this sound bar for $99 and the sub for another $99 which I did, I believe will be a great deal. Now, I need to clarify that I am aware the sub is super big for this soundbar, but the way I see it, I can always, later on, get a better soundbar or better, more powerful speakers to go with this HUGE subwoofer, but for now, both products make my bedroom shake. The Subwoofer is so powerful I had to lower its input, but despite that, both, the soundbar and sub complement each other very well. PLEASEEEE......Be aware Bestbuy sells 2 models of the Vizio 3.0 soundbar, one with 5 speakers which is this one and one with only 3 speakers, obviously get the one with 5. Read the description on the website. My only issue with the soundbar is the difficulty of pairing via Bluetooth with my iPhone 7. But if you use Spotify, you won't have any problem casting your signal to the bar.

Brought cause my 24” TV in the back room. When it came to certain not all but certain shows it just was cutting it with the volume to the point I couldn’t make out the words on some shows. That problem is now gone and the fact that this one has the hdmi port makes it very easy to hook up to TV esp the one’s that don’t have a optical jack port. I can hear every show and movie great when using TV now. the TV is a vizio too so there like brother and sister lol

Ordered in a pre-Black Friday sale and did a in-store pick-up. Because of an illness getting around has been a struggle, but this can't soundbar easy enough to get in the car on my own. It's also pretty simple to setup. When I got home it took me less than 15 minutes to get all setup to my TV and paired to my phone. Sound quality is good and a nice addition to my bedroom TV. This was an impulse buy because of the price, but after a few weeks I don't regret it.

I’m no audiophile but I’ll do my best. I bought this to work with my google Home. It works fine with it but there is about a 7 second delay between asking and playing. Enough to where you start to wonder if something went wrong but then it plays. I have vaulted ceilings so that may have something to do with why it doesn’t seem to get extremely loud. It’s plenty loud enough for me but if somebody wants party level music this might not do the trick. The bass is nonexistent but there’s an output to add one. Check your tv outputs because my tv doesn’t seem to have an audio output which just blows my mind so essentially I’m just using this as a Bluetooth speaker.

For the price, this is a very capable sound bar. Coming from a Vizio 5.1 bar that went out after nearly 5 yrs I bought this to replace it, assuming that I could still hook up my rear speakers to this. My fault for not checking! So, I moved it into a bedroom and it does have a woofer hook up which is nice. Sound quality is great for such a small speaker, easily filling the bedroom and the small size is very convenient whether you mount or just rest on a table in front of a TV. TL;DR- Good performing soundbar that delivers better than usual acoustics at this price point. Easy installation and fantastic connectivity allow for easy switch between music and movies.

This soundbar is pretty good for the price. It sounds much better then the TV speakers (low bar I know {pun intended}) and looks good. Comes with a HDMI and Digital Optical Cable, so no additional cables to buy. However, I gave this four stars because it took forever to set up. My wifey and I both could not get HDMI to work, no sound would come through even though the bar was connected and the the sound test would work. Eventually I tried the Digital Optical Cable, which worked. So what should have been a plug and play set up taking 15 mins took over two hours of troubleshooting.

This sound bar has gone above my expectations. Now I got this Black Friday for $100 because it was one of the cheaper ones I found. It comes with a mobile app, easy input switches, and all of the cables I needed. I was impressed. You can play with all of the settings for the sound bar on the app. It’s awesome. Lastly, it sounds good. I tried all genres of music and everything sounded great. Also it makes my movie watching that much better with more real sound.

Nice sound bar for a small room. I have it hooked up to a Samsung 1080 smart tv connected with the optical cable. The sound bar will wake up when I power on the tv adter about 5 sec. just hit the volume button on tv remote. One thing to note is i set eco mode to off. It also is to learn my Comcast remote for volume up, down and mute. Pretty much set up and for get. My wife also can use her ipod with bluetooth and I can use Chromecast with my Android phone.

    Great Upgrade Over TV Speakers

I'm one of the many people with bad TV speakers that made dialogue impossible to listen too without action scenes being explosively loud. This soundbar fixes that issue, and sounds great (for the price) in the process. I'm not going to say it's the greatest aural experience of all time, but it's price-performance ratio is still fantastic. It's feature rich, has the right amount of settings/input options to suit your needs, and the bass is surprisingly punchy for how compact the unit is. Most importantly, it allows you to boost the center channel, which is where dialogue has lived and died in cheap home theater setups for decades. I also recommend using the truvolume feature, as it helps to normalize audio levels even further without degrading performance. Also, this soundbar is perfect for condos/apartments. I live in a condo, and it's perfect for night viewing without upsetting the neighbors. There's a nightmode that turns off bass completely, but I don't think it's really necessary. You can adjust the bass yourself depending on the situation. I've found -6 bass to be acceptable for night viewing. My only issue is that setup is a bit of a pain, but once it is you can forget the thing is even there. Tip:use the HDMI in on the soundbar to plug in your devices. My Roku stick was having issues picking the right audio settings when plugged into my TV, and plugging it directly into the soundbar fixed that. This only applies if you are using HDMI arc. Tip 2: the smartcast app is the best method for setting up, controlling, and adjusting settings on the soundbar. The remote works fine, but the app lays things out better.

I saw a review for the new Vizio soundbar, so I wanted to check one out. This is not the one from the review but it is certainly what I was wanting. Not the cheapest one out there, but a great value for the money. So, I was replacing my basic 2.0 soundbar and saw the feature list for this one. Optical In, check, Sub Out, check, 3.5mm In, check. And What?!? Built in Chromecast! Perfect! So I check to make sure it was supported by Harmony remote and it is. Swipe and head to the house. Setup is pretty simple to begin with. All connections are clearly marked and they even give you some cabling. Score! So you don't have to drop another $20-$50 to get it working. Thank you, Vizio! The bar sounds great! Whether it is music, movies or a documentary it is smooth and crisp sound. Certainly an upgrade for my system. But I'm taking away 1 star for the finicky, difficult android app. Over two days I tried I don't know how many times to get it to connect the sound bar to wifi. Force stop app, reboot phone nothing worked. It would stall out then recycle back to 'Choose Language'. Then finally the second evening I got it to connect. So I thought it was going well. Nope, now about half the time I try it cannot connect to the soundbar. When it does the only media I can get to play is through their app. Strike two in my book. But the final nail in that coffin is the my Plex server cannot cast to it. That is where all of my music is, so strike three. Fortunately I already had a chromcast audio with my old soundbar. Plugged it in the 3.5mm jack and boom it works perfectly. So streaming from the Plex server works that way. The remote is nice, although the LCD screen can be hard to read as it does not have a backlight. Not a big issue for me. You really only need the screen for settings anyway. The other buttons are easy to see and work well. Overall, I really want to give this a 4 1/2 stars. The poor chromecast implementation and flaky app take a bit of polish off an otherwise brilliant product. Still worth it to me though.

I have been using since Sept 2017 and had it connected to a Sanyo and now my 55" LG from Best Buy. I have been satisfied with it but set up was a bit of a challenge initially. Within the last couple of weeks the sound bar will shut off from time to time with the tv on. Other reviews also noted this. Don't know why with the tv on but I guess no activity. I have to call on this. That's why the 4 star.

This is a pretty good sounding Soundbar for a 3.0 system and this price. Definitely better than the TV's speakers. And it paired automatically with my smart Samsung TV so set up was easy and I don't need to use yet another remote. Fits nicely under the TV. I haven't used the SmartCast features yet. For really great sound or surround of course you'll need a better system with a subwoofer.

This is a great soundbar if you have your own sub-woofer. It's a perfect low price great performance combo. 3 speaker plus sub for a 3.1 with HDMI ARC! It's all you need unless you want Atmos. Then I recommend an actual receiver with wired speaker because at the $500 range you have much better options then a sound bar. Okay so the draw back to this soundbar...NO HDR PASS-THROUGH. That is a real bummer. You have to spend around $300-$400 for one Full HDR pass-through and $800 ish for 2 or 3 full HDR pass-throughs. This is why I say the receiver route with speakers. The Sony 580 receiver cost $200 and has like 5 full HDR pass-through HDMI connections and you can piece the speakers as need according to your budget. I do recommend this setup though for a simple 3.1 clean look. It's just pro and cons like anything else.
