    Great tv for the money

My old tv died after about 10 years of capable service, so I was looking for a fairly inexpensive tv to replace it. This seemed like my best bet based on the reviews I read here. Setup was very easy, especially since I'm not using the "smart" features of this tv. I already have an Amazon Fire TV that is set up with everything that I need, so I don't need the built-in links to Netflix. However, I did hook it up to my Wi-Fi, which was simple enough. Also, I was pleased to see that it automatically recognized that one HDMI cord was plugged into my Fire TV and one was plugged into a DVD player; it even labeled them that way in the input list. Plus, I've found that for most simple functions, I can use the tv remote to navigate on the Fire TV. It kind of doesn't work for going back to a previous screen (or I haven't figured out what button to press to do that). I'm using this as my main living room tv and I'm very happy with it, but I'm sure others would find it too small for that. The picture quality is great IMO, although I'm not a geek about such things. Audio is decent as well, although I can understand why other reviewers talk about installing a sound bar. I might do so someday, but for now the audio is acceptable. I also hooked this up to my antenna to get local channels and that has worked really nicely. It took a few minutes to scan for channels, but it found all of the available ones. I had to re-position my antenna as some of the channels would come in and out, but it was great to be able to see a signal strength on the tv screen so I could find the best position to get a good signal on the channels I really cared about. Overall, I'd recommend this tv, although I haven't had it for very long so I don't know if it'll last as long as my last one did. Oh I did find that my very old DVD/Blu-Ray player has some issues with the aspect ratio on the tv, so I'll likely have to replace the DVD player. Might be useful to know if you have older equipment that you're trying to connect to this tv, although that's usually a risk you take with new equipment.

Looking for a 32 to 43 inch for several weeks at several stores. Samsung, LG, and other models were looked at. While in Best Buy, I noticed several brands with features I wanted but the prices were too high. I noticed the 32 inch Vizio was at a reasonable price with the features I desired, and having own one for several years, I knew it was dependable. Purchased it and it only took approximately 15 minutes to set it up. Good Deal for Good Quality!

RIDDLED WITH PROBLEMS FROM DAY 1 - DO NOT BUY!!!

"Run Simba, run away and never return" to Vizio. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a 100% real review. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING REVIEW: Model: Vizio D32F-F1 32 inch Status of Item: Brand New (Non-Refurbished / Not Used) Purchase Location: Best Buy Online Received Product: October 26, 2018. Date of Review: January 2, 2019 (68 days after receiving the product) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pros: * Looks good * Remote is simplified * Smart TV * Cheap Cons: * No real help from Vizio support, no resolution to my problems * Doesn't work like expected to * Cannot install/uninstall apps (Vizio chooses what apps to show you) * Issues with Hulu app * TV restarts by itself whenever it wants to * Have to stream big title applications from phone application (no way to install onto TV) I bought this TV to be used as a monitor for my computer. Right out of the box it was having issues with Hulu streaming, it would frequently give me errors when trying to stream Hulu and ONLY Hulu. I chatted into tech support on their page the same day and they told me to do a factory reset - DIDN'T WORK. Then they told me to unplug the TV and hold the power button and plug it back in - DIDN'T WORK. As of today, the issue is still happening and they told me that it is on Hulu's end. Exactly 2 days after my 30 day return period ended, my TV started to restart on its own. It happens about 4 or 5 times in the span of about 6 hours. IT'S REALLY ANNOYING! I at this point do not feel confident reaching out to Vizio only to have them waste my time again without resolution. I advize you to stay away from Vizio as their quality has REALLY went downhill. My refurbished Vizio TV from 2014 works with little defect, this brand new TV can't seem to work right at all. I should have returned this TV the same day when I started seeing the Hulu issue. I am kicking myself in the butt now! Please learn from my mistake ladies and gentlemen. ALSO, ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW IS THAT SMARTCAST IS NOT THE SAME THING AS A CHROMECAST SO BEWARE! The way the smart TV portion of the TV works like this: You go to SmartCast by pressing the input button. It takes you to a page with preloaded junk you cannot delete and preloaded "apps". Technically these are NOT applications because you cannot delete or install anything, you just get to choose from what's already there. PREINSTALLED (AND ONLY "APPS" THAT ARE ON THE TV) "APP" LIST: Hulu YouTube Netflix Prime Video (Amazon) Sony Crackle WatchFree (Vizio) Movies & TV (Vudu) iHeart Radio Xumo YouTube TV CBS News Live 24/7 NBC Fandango Now Redbox on Demand CBS All Access D A Z N Filmrise FF (That's all I see on the logo, I do not know what it stands for.) Flixfling Taste It Newsy HaystackTV Dove Channel CuriosityStream TG PlutoTV Music B ConTV Plex USB Option - To play media via USB Access more apps - When you click on this option it says this: "All the apps you know and love. With Chromecast built-in, you can stream your favorite apps like YouTube, Spotify, HBO NOW, Pandora, and more to your big screen. Just launch the app on your smartphone, then tap the Cast button *Applications and content may require fees or subscription charges. Availability varies by region. Youtube and Chromecast build-in are trademarks of Google, Inc." So if you want to listen to Spotify, you'll have to launch it from your phone on the phone app which is very incovenient if you only have one phone and you are on a call but your family wants to listen to music in another room. Please do your research on Vizio's quality before making this purchase, Google "Vizio restarts on its own" or even "Vizio Smart TV Freezing" I have read that a lot of people experienced Vizio's TV's freezing up. This is probably the most in-depth review I have ever done but I want to make sure that you are well informed of how I was scammed. Yes, I call it a scam because they have my money and I have a half working TV. AGAIN, LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE PLEASE!

I bought this TV to connect to a rolling stand so I could watch it out on my deck during nice weather. I can easily roll it inside when I'm done watching for the day and I only have one wire to deal with. I use an Android stick to stream live TV from and the world, movies, shows, and more. The picture is crisp and clean which is what I expected. I mainly watch live sports and 1080p is the only resolution I need for a TV. Other than an occasional live event, sports stream either at 720p or 1080i. Widespread 4K streaming stations are a long way away. Unless you watch 4K Blu-ray's, do lots of 4K filming, or do 4K gaming, you really don't need a 4K resolution TV. Most people don't understand that. I own three other VIZIO TV's and love them all. If you can afford a few more dollars, get the 5 year extended warranty for peace of mind. I highly recommend this bad boy. You will likely love it.

This LED 32" flat screen caught my attention when I saw that it was 1080p. There are not that many options available in that size with 1080p, as most of what's in the market is 720p. I considered the price as a really good addition, especially because we needed 2 of them for our kids bedrooms. They are very happy with the new TV's as they are upgrading from old 720p LCD to this LED screen. Much brighter and really good definition in the picture. Being they are smart TV's, it also saves on any cable TV option for their rooms, since they hardly watch regular TV anymore.

I needed an inexpensive HD-TV for a bedroom, and this one was about the right size, and lightweight/small enough to easily move. I don’t really need the smart features, and with only a pretty bare-bones wi-fi speeds and no ethernet ports in the room, wouldn’t be able to do much streaming anyways. Had to switch the picture mode from auto, since it over-compresses digital signals that are in 4:3, i.e. they already have black bars on the sides, but the TV doesn’t recognize that, adds its own set of bars, and you end up with vertical stretch. Switching to standard or widescreen mode fixes that, though. While I liked other brands I had previously purchased better, this one is economical, and the image quality overall is really not bad, at least when you have hi-def inputs, like digital channels, or blu-ray.

After hours of research on all the models in this price and size range and to the store to clearly and closely check out the TVs video response, I finally decided on this one. Vizio D32f-f1 Be aware there are a few 32 inch models with a different model number but they are different in specs and performance. +The picture on the TV is very good the full array backlit screen gives it really good contrast and black levels. If you go deeper into the menu to the "more picture" settings it actually has complete calibration for the colors in that menu. It also has a few preset color settings that are pretty good. I found the game one to be very good on Sports, even though I have to turn the brightness down some remember, this is just in my viewing environment and your mileage may vary. + The initial setup is very easy even though like other reviewers say the menu fonts are small . + the speakers sound good you do have to adjust them I've seen other users talk about the speakers sound tinny. Note: These EQ settings are for a TV thats sitting on a table top. Go into sound, in to the EQ settings and double-click the frequency that's highlighted adjust the 100hz to 9 250hz to 8 the 2K down about -3 below flat center and turn the 10k -2 the speakers good and you get quite a good volume/sound out of them. If you have yours mounted to a wall you will lose a lot of the mid low and low response. Note: Any TV that's mounted to a wall if you're looking for full range sound, the tv speakers are not going to produce full range for music/movies etc. If you need the super produced theater movie and music reproduction you will definitely need a sub and a soundbar or if you have it run a line from the RCA audio out jacks to your home stereo system. Inputs- it has two HDMI inputs and a RGB input an Ethernet and USB so if you're looking more HDMI inputs you'll have to get the TCL which does not have full array backlighting which affects the Black Range or the resolution nor as good of a picture. I know they push tcl at Best Buy but the sets do not have the video quality of the Vizio This vizio does not come with Roku, if you're into that, you'd be better served to buy a Roku attachment for it than to sacrifice for the lower quality picture of the TCL in the same price range. They only thing I don't like is the little weird plastic legs that go on it but most people wall mount anyway. So far I'm satisfied with my purchase I hope the long-term quality is as good as my 2009 Vizio Which is still working at this point

This High Definition Led 32” 1080 TV has great color, very lightweight., good sound. Consumer Reports ranked this TV. We have a 29” High Definition LED TV that has great color, sound, & very light weight, too. Based on the Consumer Reports for this TV & our 29” TV by Vizio we decided to buy this 32” TV.

I am not a consistent TV watcher. I have a select amount of shows I watch and I stick to them. Therefore this TV does what it is supposed to do. I would complain that the Volume doesn't get that loud but for a small bedroom, you shouldn't have too much of a problem. I do sometimes have trouble with the SmartCast not connecting or recognizing my device, but I rarely need to use it so it's not enough that I would take it back. If you are looking for an HD picture, and small Smart TV capabilities such as Netflix and Youtube, this TV is worth the money.

I was looking for some Tv's for a game room, particularly for video games but sport watching as well. I already have a larger Vizio 4k Tv for the bedroom and I am very pleased with it over the years so I started looking at Vizio's first. Considering the distance I would be from the Tv I knew I had to get a 1080p resolution. The picture is very good for gaming, as well as anything else. The sound is sufficient, not bad but nothing to brag about. The only negative comments I have which is prevents the 5 star rating is only having 2 HDMI ports and that the remotes work for both Tv's. Meaning if I want to adjust the volume on one it will simultaneously change the volume on the other, which I think most people won't have this issue lol. If I could I would give the Tv a rating of 4.5 stars.

My calibrations for Picture and Sound

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I did not like the out-of-box defaults for both picture and sound and made my own adjustments. I like Vivid, but it was too strong, and audio from the speakers was difficult to hear. If your into navigating the menu system, you can create your own picture profile as well as adjust the sound settings. I think the settings I have attached greatly improved both. Maybe these will also work for you. I am using the TV for over-the-air and Netflix through a TIVO box.

The picture on this 32 incher is clean and precise. The unit is very light weight and was very easy to set up. It has smart TV features (which I am not using, so I can't comment on.) The picture does seem to be affected (slightly) by room light, but where lighting can be controlled, it works great. Overall, a very nice television at a great price.

Wanted a smart TV to just watch outside on the patio of our new house at night after work. We mostly use Netflix or watch You Tube Videos and don't have it hooked to cable. I had 2 picked out and this had better specs for a little more money and was on sale. We have a 60 inch Vizio that we just love. We love the built in casting and all the smart features. For what we use it for sitting on our table outside and sitting so close speakers are fine to me. My husband says they make a vibrating sound he doesn't like it and want's a different one but I think it's too late to return. I don't notice and love the TV picture is nice too.
