When I receive the TV, the screen was damaged and I return the tv.

Brand new out of the box broken white line at the top

Had to return 2 in a row. Ended up buying a Samsung.

Turns off out of no where super laggy don’t waste your time

I didn't expect much but was blown away. This TV is a must have. The speakers are not that good, so do buy a sound bar for rich bass and more room volume. But the picture and ease of setup and operation were a breeze. This smart TV is just that. Smart. I can't say enough about it. Highly recommend my first Vizio.

Would not buy again...returned it after 2 days of frustration

So I've only had this TV for a few days, but learned a lot about it. PRO: Great quality, pixels and brightness better than old TV and looks great. But it varies on what I watch. Netflix quality is amazing compared to cable (hdmi) but thats not the tv. Easy to set up and use, remote has great quick access to smart features. CONS: If you want a TV for just the Smart features, I would skip this TV. As others have said it can sometimes be laggy and slow. Not the best. If your on a budget, it's still ok. I'm having an issue with the TV freezing, meaning Ill use the remote to change the volume or change the input and nothing happens. The cable still works and I can watch and change channels, but when I try to control the TV it doesn't work. This has happened twice to me.. over just a few days. Its an easy fix, either unplug the TV or hold the power button on the TV to reset. It fixes the problem right away, but annoying this is happening with a brand new TV. I wonder if it has to do with the system in the TV? I'm not sure. I would like to avoid it being a daily problem. I also found it tough to adjust the picture color to how i want it. It does have this lighter tone to it that is hard to change, it took a while but I finally saved my own picture setting that is best. OVERALL: If you still use cable along with smart features this is a great TV if you dont want to spend alot. But I am finding I am having some of the small issues others have left in their reviews.

This is my second Vizio this decade. First one was a good 55". This time I have learned my lesson on big TV's in small rooms so I got this 40. Picture is amazing. With the 120hz refresh it should be a good gaming monitor as well... That was the main purpose of it, for my gaming rig. Not too big... Too big and just watching Soap Opera's is like watching a tennis match, twisting your head back and forth to see what the other person is saying... I will update this after I get my rig built. Be sure to hook your HDMI cable up before putting this sucker on a wall mount. You will not be able to reach it, or see the plug when it is mounted. Ask me how I know... Picture is awesome and menu speed is good as well. Seems to boot up fairly fast and pace with using the remote is quick.

I purchased this Tv back in 2020 i still have this Tv up to todays date and this Tv is Amazing as well as the upgrade!

So I've had my share of flat screen TV's. This one ranks among the best. The surprising part is that the picture takes a short moment to get used to, but not at all in any kind of bad way. Use default pic settings and it's great, but at the same time, in a comparison manner of speaking, it's surprisingly different from other flat screen TV's. Usually different equals bad or off, this just takes a moment to adjust to, then you'll get it, that it's a very good picture just not what you likely expected. Sound is great. Goes to a 100, I keep it at 30 for broadcast TV & 35 when watching DVD's. Similar to picture in terms off quality. To keep it short, it's again somewhat different, but not at all in a bad way. Remote is great. Most nice TVs of this size and from a popular brand are some form of smart TV, this is cool, but I never use it (no home Wi-Fi) and I hate the tiny Roku & Fire remotes, I feel like I'm going to break them or lose them. This remote has a nice substantial feel to it and is definitely a full sized remote. Setup couldn't have been easier, simply attach legs, plug in and begin usual initial setup. If I had anything bad to say it's that a lot of smart TV's this size have 3 HDMI inputs and this has only 2. I only currently need 1, but more inputs helps to future proof it a bit. Absolutely would recommend if the size matches your needs. Great TV for only $199.99 + tax on sale.

For the money I don’t know how you’d beat this tv. Quality is remarkable, price is amazing and the tv is lightweight for wall mounting. Easy to use, set up and a great value.

Bought 2018 and still looks and works great ! I love it would buy again.
