Definitely considering returning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV because it claims to be Siri capable. All you can do is turn it off and on with Siri. Nothing else so it’s pretty useless for that feature. This TV and remote also lag A LOT which is very annoying. Picture quality is good. Sound isn’t. I would return it but that’s more work than I care to do

Typical LCD TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want strictly HD viewing it will do well enough, HOWEVER... if classics broadcast shows is your thing, its a mess. No amount of adjustments will make Moe, Larry and Curly watchable, and you will go blind if you try. The Magnificent Seven becomes the dreadful seven, and there is no option to change aspect ratio or scan rate. Sound is ok. The TV will nag you to accept Vizio and Google Use and Privacy agreements that only a corporatre lawyer could understand. Likely I'll be returning before the 15 days are up. If I find a magical adjustment in the settings so my eyes don't bleed, I'll update.

Posted .Hello LittleTimmy, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

40"GreatPicVariableAudioOutFullFuctionRemote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice TV at the full price that I paid 229. The Audio Out is variable (selectable) from the tvs remote. I needed this as i am using this for multiple inputs and one audio receiver/amp that has no hdmi inputs (old receiver). I have a pc and regular coax cable as inputs both work well. i have used the tv as a netflix source and it works but the pc is the only way to go as far as netflix watching. But that is true for any tv/vcr. They just dont compare to a pc. I have one other Visio TV and it has been reliable for 6-7 years. I have never heard this tv's speakers as I muted them during setup. This TV did what I needed...full control of audio output and option to mute TV speakers.

Amazing HDTV

Vizio gives you a lot of free tv viewing with their WatchFree app. You cannot go wrong with this television!!

Great Value Great Pic Okish Sound Sluggish TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is sharp and i think it actually gets a bit sharper than the Samsung model it intends to rival. Although the Samsung seems slightly less noise. Although just by a teeny margin. Speakers were ok but a bit hollow sounding compared to the Samsung TV. I also like the Vizio remote control better than the Samsung. The big issue i had with this set was it was sluggish when navigating the Smart Features. Button presses can take 15 seconds or more to respond. Or had to hit it a 2nd time. I tried to live with it because it was at a good price and pretty much rivaled the competing entry level series from Samsung as far as picture quality is concerned. In the end i had to return it. If Vizio could fix the unresponsive. laggy issues they would have a winner!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sales man did not know as much as he thought he know or wanted me to spend more money. This tv takes a bit of reading to set up with an antenna and sound system . The sales man told me to set it up you need an app on your smart phone . I did not . I read howto setup and went through is in about 30 minutes. Great tv.

No Instructions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV seems to work fine, but setting it up was frustrating; understanding and utilizing its features is illusive for the owner's manual is missing. I know there is information on line, but we would prefer to have something in our hands to refer to. I have looked all over the Best Buy website and could not find a place to report a missing part. Also, their online "CHAT" has not been available. An epic fail on what should be an easy customer service fix!

Prepare to disconnect from outlet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this TV as a present from my parents on Christmas. It is now May and I am barely writing a review. The setting up is easy, the picture is great, but the software in this TV does not work! I have to consistently turn the TV on and off when the Smartcast doesn't want to load, and sometimes even manually pushing the button on the TV won't work to turn it on, so I have to disconnect the TV from the outlet, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. I hate using the Smartcast on the TV and would rather just mirror shows from my phone since that SOMETIMES helps from preventing the TV from freezing. If I do use the smartcast from the TV, the selections move pretty slow. It is pretty frequent that I have to "Soft power cycled" the TV that I already have the options memorized.

Posted .Hi Dennise. This isn't the way the TV should be behaving. You should rarely, if ever, have to power cycle the unit. If you could give us a call at 1 (855) 833-3221, we'd really appreciate the chance to help get this taken care of for you.

Would Prefer a Dumb TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this TV for almost a year now and there are times when I just want to throw it in the trash. This thing bogs down, freezes, ignores the remote and the Vizio Smart cast platform limits which streaming services you can use. Give me a standard TV and a Roku any day.

Would not recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had issues with this television the moment I began setting it up. I had power issues while setting up the TV. At least twice a week I have to do the "unplug power cord and hold the power button down" exercise. At least once a week it won't pick up the WiFi. It is a bit slow to go through the apps. The sound is below average. But I will say the picture is great. And as I've seen with other negative reviews Vizio suggest calling their customer service line. I did that 3 times in the first week of having this TV because of various issues.

Poor Design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has been a nightmare since I got it a year ago. I have to unplug it every few days because it can't find the router that is sitting on the floor next to it. The Smartcast interface is pretty cheap at this price point and doesn't work smoothly. The remote is pretty cheap too and slow to respond. You just can't turn the TV off when streaming,.. it takes a few exit steps or you will have to unplug it and reset it the next day. RUN from this model!
