Don't do it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this TV for 2 weeks and have had to reboot it multiple times prior to each use. It is extremely slow and is constantly unable to load apps. It took 25 minutes for me to get Netflix to work today. I don't watch much TV so this has been very irritating for the rare opportunity I have time to watch a show. I would not recommend this TV, and deeply regret not listening to the bad reviews.

Awful picture and sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv and after 2 days I returned it. My biggest problems were the picture and sound. I spent 2 whole days trying to adjust the picture settings but the color just never looked right. And the sound was tinny and awful. So after 2 days I returned this and spent a little more and bought the Samsung 43 inch j5202. Best decision ever.

Posted .Hello Justin, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

Using Airplay? Don’t bother.

Bought it with the sole purpose using its advertised “seemless” airplay capabilities. Airplay didn’t work. I troubleshot for two hours and nothing worked. Every time I click “airplay” the tv turns off. It’s junk. I just want a tv I can mirror to with good resolution at the click of a button, that’s how airplay used to be. I had a terrible experience with Vizio TV’s before and didn’t learn my lesson. Bought it at 3 pm today and will be returning when the doors open at my local Best Buy tomorrow. Don’t buy Vizio. Side note… the feet to the tv are a horror to put on. The screw holes on the feet didn’t line up with the screw holes in the tv. Ended up using one screw per foot for the brief time I wrestled with this thing. Terrible.

Doesn’t work half the time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this tv for almost 2 years and by far this is the biggest piece of junk that is in my household. The tv is extremely slow when loading just about anything and that’s if it even wants to bring up the home menu. I usually just get a black screen when I try and load the home menu or I’ll get a red exclamation point when I turn the tv on. When using some apps the thing will crash and freeze randomly forcing me to unplug the tv. Now the color is already getting all messed up as if the internal board is shot. Honestly I would just spend the money and go with a Samsung tv as all of the other TVs in my house are Samsung and one is 3 years old and has never had a problem with it at all. Don’t waste your money on this because you’ll be expecting to buy a new tv in a few years.

DON'T BUY VIZIO

Set it up for them and they loved it for the first 15 minutes...then we powered it off to show dad how to turn it off and on...NOTHING HAPPENED! We tried all of the suggestions online...still NOTHING. Called Vizio and the guy was really friendly but still NOTHING. He told me that I needed to exchange it for another one...SORRY NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! I will return for a refund and would not recommend this TV to anyone. Check the poor reviews on the power issue that Vizio has. Very disappointed to read that this has been going on for years and they haven't done a thing to fix the problem. How sad!! Sorry I can't give it a negative number for quality!!! Keep in mind that we only had this TV for 15 minutes before it quit working...15 MINUTES!! Certainly ruined my Christmas surprise!!

Garbage Picture

I don't know if I got a defective TV or something but the picture is absolute garbage. No matter what settings I set on the TV for display everything is just completely washed out. I had my computer hooked up to the TV via HDMI (I have a high quality monster HDMI cable) and the text and icons were blurry. I'm a tech guy so I'm aware of how to fix that issue but the normal fixes for that didn't work. My old HDTV from 10 years ago has a better picture than this piece of crap. I am highly disappointed in this TV. I've heard of Vizio brand before and had heard good things but after this experience I will never buy another Vizio TV again. Unfortunately I got rid of the box the TV came in otherwise I would ask my mother in law for the receipt and return it.

To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and are set to broadcast in 4K (2160p) or Full HD (1080p). You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the ‘Calibrated’ setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. Very Apple like and not in a good way

I must turn off and turn on again to adjust the brightness or volume. Airplay usually exit or fails to connect. I should have pay extra for a better TV!

Bad buy

This is a terrible television and experience

Unfortunately I discovered these issues after the return period for Best Buy was over and I had to contact Visio directly. I got parts replaced and tv continued to malfunction and added even more issues. My customer service experience with Vizio has been extremely disappointing to say the least because of the conflicting information I’ve received from Vizio. I really wish I’d just gotten a different tv brand. Again, I do not recommend Vizio, this has been a terrible experience and this is a terrible tv and I’ll be sure to never purchase another product fr them ever again

I would not recommend Vizio

Garbage

Streaming always gets kicked off and all my other TVs that are LG are streaming fine. Then I keep getting a pop up saying there is some class action lawsuit and I can collect 17$ for Visio using my tv to spy on me. Well that’s great! Now I’m out 400$ because who the heck wants to keep a tv that tells you straight up oops sorry we collected info on your from your WiFi illegally so here’s 17$?

Hulu not 100% supported

This TV only supports the old classic Hulu app. More details here. https://help.hulu.com/en-us/supported-vizio This is false advertising on Vizio's behalf in my opinion. The box shows the Hulu logo indicating it supports Hulu. This is misleading especially since live TV streaming is so popular in the past year.

Posted .Hello rick, The SmartCast input does have limited applications installed and you cannot add extra apps to the input. We are continuously evaluating new applications for possible addition to this screen. In the meantime you can cast any of the thousands of Chromecast enabled applications, Hulu Live is an application that can be cast, to the TV from any mobile device on your network.

Disappointed - returned it for TCL
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very poor picture quality, audio sounded like a transistor radio, and connectivity for streaming was so poor, I eventually gave up on trying to watch programs. Exchanged it for the TCL 40-inch, and was surprised at how much better the features and performance was of the TCL. Very happy now, and Best Buy customer service was excellent as usual.
