Disposable TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vizio M43-C1 picture went bad in 3 years! Bought the correct PCB kit through eBay and replaced the 4 main boards individually and then all together. Didn’t fix the problem. I read that the panel was probably bad and would cost as much if not more than a newer model.

Picture quality is excellent.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Netflix 4k on this TV looks amazing, but in order to really appreciate the details, one must sit really close to the TV. For the 43" version, 4ft is the best viewing distance. Up-scaling 720 and 1080p content is really nice and you can really tell the difference. Reason it only gets 4 stars is the narrow viewing angle. Colors tend to appear washed out even at a slight angle.

I am now a Vizio fanatic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easiest set up of any TV I've ever bought just four screws and your set. Really sharp picture right out of the box. Didn't calibrate a single thing. The design of the actual TV is simple and elegant. At $550 for 4k this is perhaps the toughest deal to beat. Shop around and you'll see most 4ks are shipping with 60hz refresh rates. This one comes with 120hz and is cheaper than most out there. Really great product.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been approx 3 months now. Tv needs to be turned on4 times and the. It stays on. Ha e tried replacing cables and nothing is wrong with the outlet or the cable box. Others have had this issue. Just don't ha e time to call Visio and troubleshoot. Go Samsung. This brand is not viable.

Good Entry-Level 4K set
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After about a month of reading reviews online here and also on other forums I decided to make the leap to 4K. The problem is that 1080 sets are few and far between and the ones you find don't have all the features the 4K models offer. I figured for the price I paid it will keep me entertained as 4K continues to mature and more content is made available. I've had both Samsung and Sony LCD's over the last 10 years so this was my first Vizio. The picture won't look good for most people right out of the box. You have to configure all the options for each individual input which means separate settings for a cable box, a Roku, and blu-ray etc. It took me a few hours of fooling around with it to get everything right but it was worth the effort. The picture is much better now then when I first turned it on. Head over to rtings.com to read up on all the optimal settings. On a side note we all love the remote on this tv. The back has a mini keyboard that makes entering labels for inputs so much easier! I downloaded some 4K videos on Youtube and converted them to H265 codecs then uploaded them to a USB flash drive. They played flawlessly from the TV's USB port. If you want to stream 4K from Netflix you have to upgrade to a higher plan. 4K on this TV is beautiful but at 43 inches you will only see the difference between it and 1080p if you are sitting about 5 feet from the TV. Still it was impressive. HD channels on cable don't look as good as they do on my 7 year old Sony 1080p. I think Samsung and Sony do a better job of "up-converting" . You can do some noise reduction to help. Don't increase sharpness over 25 or you will just make the flaws worse. Blu rays and streaming in 720p or 1080i look outstanding...much better than the same from cable. Again this must be the Vizio processing. The viewing angle on this TV isn't the best but that is a problem found with many LED TV's. The colors look pretty washed out if you are viewing this from a 30 degree or larger angle so you will want this positioned for the majority of viewers in your audience. I can't really comment on sound quality because I am using a 5.1 surround sound system via the optical audio but setting that part up was easy. Make sure you measure the surface this TV will sit on top of before purchasing and read the width specs carefully. I really wanted the 50 inch version of this set but because the way the feet are designed they are very far apart so you'll need a much wider piece of furniture to set this on top of. This 43" set required my furniture surface be at least 38 inches wide. I really don't like that aspect of the design of this TV. I much prefer the way Samsung and Sony designed their stands. Overall for the price this TV is very good. It doesn't have quite the same quality as some of the higher priced sets from Samsung or Sony but at almost half the price I really can't complain about that. As far as bang for your buck this is the best you can get in my opinion and believe me I have done my homework.

Unbelievable Picture Quality!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll "never" own anything other than a Vizio from now on, period!!! We purchased two different Samsung's from Target and the first one wouldn't even turn on and then the other one had a horrible picture, almost like a thin piece of cheese cloth was on the screen, so then we upgraded to Samsung's so-called best television and that was better, but still looked a little washed-out and after returning the "third" television to Target we were done with Target and Samsung... We then went to Best Buy and purchased our current Vizio 43" LED 2160P Smart 4K Ultra HD TV and we both couldn't be happier, it's as close to perfect as one could ask for!!! The picture quality is truly second to none, the "Smart" features are super easy to use and the Vizio also has a much better connectivity than any of the Samsung's, at least from our experience. I will say that we did our research and "the powers that be" state that Samsung is supposed to be a superior product to that of Vizio, but from what I've seen I really don't care what's behind the screen, I just care about the quality of the front of that screen, plus what's the difference when a person can purchase a "five year in home" service plan for $99.00, that's "Five Years", so I'll take the so-called inferior "nuts and bolts", yet have a superior picture, superior Smart features and a much better service plan, which is by the way two more years than what Samsung and Target offered us and the 43" Vizio plan is in-home, so even if something does happen, it's fully covered!!! I hope this review helps anyone doing research prior to their next big purchase, because if you do take my word, then you'll save yourself a lot of time, have a much superior picture and you'll even pay a little less, it's a win-win-win-win...

Great tv!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv and absolutely loved it. Still do! Maybe there are better picture qualities available in uhd-maybe-but IF so one will have to pay 1-$2,000.00 more to get it in a similar sized tv. If you are extremely well off financially you may want to shop around a little more. But if you-like myself-have a little extra money but...not a whole lot? Then look no further. This is the tv you want! Possibly a little bigger-I am contemplating purchasing a 55 inch and putting putting the 43 inch in my guest bedroom- but VIZIO is the brand you want unless, as previously mentioned, money is no object too you. Incidentally the apps are lightning fast and you tube offers more recommendations on my Vizio m-series than my hp laptop does! Oh, and by the way if you-like a startling number of people-have never seen a 4k his tv...? Then let me assure you the difference is simply UNBELIEVABLE!!!

So far So good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly when I purchased this TV it was to replace one that I had previously gotten that was too large, funny I know, but I have to say that I am rather happy with the way this TV performs. The thinner edges gives it the nice sleek look and the apps such as Vudu and Netflix are easily accessed. The reasoning for only 4 starts and not a full 5 though is two reasons; the first being that the calibrations seem off so you need to go in and recalibrate certain settings, and the second is because there are a few apps that just feel like bloat ware i.e stuff I know I will never use. Other than that once calibrated the colors just pop off the screen with a surreal image, the read/launch time is fast for the aforementioned Netflix and Vudu; and the audio is rather crisp and clear if one doesn't want a sound bar.

Bad picture from views not directly in front of tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up on this tv with lots of hdmi ports. However, whoever puts the raised plastic edge under the hdmi ports onthe back of the unit should be fired. It makes it hard to plug in the connectors with the plastic edge jutting out 2" under the connectors, you have to bend the cables. The picture on this looks great FROM STRAIGHT AHEAD. My husband usually sits with a straight view of the tv. I tend to sit off to the side so I don't have a direct line of sight The picture color and brightness is way way off unless you are directly in front of this tv. Cannot recommend due to picture problems from the sides.

Great,but set up rough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV on thanksgiving,it was between a Samsung or Vizio, they were out of the Samsung so i got the Vizio. The picture is great also the sound is amazing. I noticed that i was only getting 720p on my cable box , 480 on my Blu-ray player, only got1080p on my Roku player. A call to Vizio and was told to call cable co. and we got that fixed,we went into my Blu-ray player setting and changed to 1080p,my only complaint is the TV shuts off and turns back on for no reason...so another call to Vizio. Also apps sound will not play through my amp, but i have the Roku so its ok.

screen crashes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this T.V. last week from Best Buy and love it. Does everything I want. Except the screen crashes after an hour or so use. I have to unplug it from the power outlet for a few seconds then replug it in to reset it. In the crash half of the screen goes pixilated and the other half is like a still picture, the sound continues okay. It doesn't respond to any remote buttons. Hence the rest method used above. I would recommend it if it didn't crash like this Does anyone else have this issue or should I return it to Best Buy? Edd

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. The picture is great. But if you hook a sound system to it. It will cut the TV speakers off. I do not use my sound system all the time. so i have to go to the menu and cut the speakers back on.

Good Quality for a Low Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros ... Excellent picture quality. Good design. The TV have four HDMI inputs and one HDMI sound output. Const ... It don't have internet browser. The HDMI audio output doesn't work with some sound systems. In my opinion, this a good 4K TV for a low price.

Excellent value and picture quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is phenomenal even without 4K programming. In fact, the installer for my satellite service was so impressed, he wants to buy one. He also praised Vizio in general for quality. The TV was easy to set up with Roku and a Vizio sound bar, although the installer gave me an HDMI cable (not included with sound bar or TV) to hook up the sound bar directly to the ARC input on the TV so that the satellite remote controls everything. I also use the TV as an extra side by side monitor for my MacBook Pro with retina display; again, the image is fantastic. Sale price was great for a 4K TV.
