He says the picture is great and shows details he hadn't noticed before when viewing games on a previous display screen! FYI, it is display only, no tuner. No remote control included. Downloadable app allows use of smartphone for contols.

Easy to set up

I've searched and tried to find out how and nothing comes up. Only basic instructions come with the tv. Lots of slots in the back of the tv for other devices (blu ray, dvd, sound bar, etc)

Smartcast type TV is not for me.

I thought it was the type I would enjoy. I am computer literate, but I didn't get it. The thing I had the greatest problem with was syncing my smartphone with the TV, and using my smartphone to operate the TV. The sync process didn't work. Tried it on smartphone and tablet, the TV wasn't responding. On Vizio's recommendation, I returned the TV. I then purchased an Ultra HD TV with smart TV features, but it had a full function TV Remote. The picture quality was also slightly better than the Vizio. It cost me about $70.00 more, but it was worth it.

The only real issue I have with this tv is that the smartcast capabilities act up and the remote the comes with the tv is useless. So you have to have a smart phone to really even operate it.

Great display at an exceptional price

Have a dozen or so clients using them and they are in love with the monitor, its color and brightness. Bought my son's room as a xmas gift, he loves it.

You cannot control sound or picture adjustments. You also cannot use Chromecast with the remote. You must download the vizio remote app to do so.

This new software update is rolling out to most VIZIO SmartCast displays and will be downloaded automatically. As a TV the picture was great, couldn't have asked for better. Unfortunately my computer would not handle the Hz frequency and my graphics card would not handle the resolution. I had to exchange the unit.

Was confusing at first that to use the smart features, you needed an app on your iphone or tablet to run them. For there are no features to do that on the controller that comes with the TV. If the Sales person addressed that, I did not understand those conditions. We did follow the directions and the smart features work find with an iphone or tablet. We also run them thru our Blu-Ray player which we also purchased at the same time.

Great Picture but this TV is not for everyone!

I went on to get the mid priced model but ended up purchasing this. Set up was fairly easy. However the remote is the most basic I've ever owned. To do much more than turn it on or change the volume you need your smart phone. The smart TV function is also very difficult to navigate. Also, note that this is a monitor only. You must have a cable box or satellite provider, there is no internal tuner.
