They should've left both options open for us to use the remote or our cell phones which in result would mean more buttons on the control. Also, the picture quality could've been better but I returned this TV and purchased an LG 49" (49UH61). I must say I'm satisfied for now until these tv stations upgrade their tech to 4k. DON'T BUY THIS

It has a tendency to drop the connection. Also the menu option are pretty vague. If ur dealing with plug in its great. Very clean and clear picture.

But for the price, I'll live. The Vizio cast is garbage and I've never hated anything more. If you buy this Tab, 7:use a roku or fire stick or something

Chromecast appears to be connectivity appears to be the downside. Sometimes it doesn't work the way the traditional external device works. Renders streamed apps differently.

While there isn't a built in tuner, the unit does have multiple HDMI ports for connective external devices such as cable/satellite set top boxes, gaming consoles, Blu Ray players and other devices via HDMI. If HDMI isn't available on your device, an external HDMI tuner would be our recommendation.
