Posted .Signal strength from over the air broadcasting is dependent upon the antenna that is connected and the location of the antenna. The TV can only show the channels the antenna is currently receiving. Signal strength can be affected by weather, physical barriers such as walls and buildings, interference from wave sources, and distance from the broadcaster. Signal disruption can also be intermittent based on these factors as well.

Didn't last long

Good tv for the price.

This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations.

Damaged tv which was glitching from day 1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this open box 48 in vizio tv was assured by bestbuy employees that it was in excellent condition as soon as i brought it home realized that 2 out of 4screws needed to attach the stand were missing and on top of that the visual display was glitching as soon as i connected the tv so i brought it back i will never listen to a bestbuy employee again

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. This TV does have a built-in QAM tuner with a coaxial port as an input that can be connected to an antenna or cable that does not require a cable box.

Peripheral range very poor.

Ordered on line and defective TV had to be returned and Best buy immediately sent New one. Picture is cloudy white because peripheral is so small. Salesman told us Vizio adjusted new models and receiving many complaints. Won't buy another Vizio.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. The TV can only display the resolution it is receiving from the connected devices. To get 1080p content you would need to make sure that you are using a device capable of 1080p, the content you are watching is being broadcast in 1080p, and that you are using a cable capable of 1080p. Because of this we recommend using an HDMI cable as other cables are not capable of 1080p or higher resolutions.
