Q: What is the length between the two base pieces, I would like to know if it would fit on my tv stand
A: The distance between the outer sides of the stand legs is 38.20".
Q: This is not a smart TV correct?
A: Correct. I bought a $39 Amazon fire TV stick (which plugs into one of the HDMI ports), with voice remote and now mine is "smart." IMO that's a better way to go as Amazon, Google, and Apple tend to upgrade their "smart" devices on shorter development cycles, and the app developers are going to target those devices rather than building TV-specific apps.
