    Open the box a little while ago to set up a surprise for my daughter when she return home and the screen on the television was cracked. The store would not accept it because it was delivered more than 24 hours ago

    Can't see whole TV because a corner is blacked out but y'all say I can get another online or get money back but I tried that and best but work says she can't do anything smh never again.

    It probably would have been fine had it worked. I believe that the backlight was either broken or disconnected. Sound worked fine but I prefer TVs to actually have a picture.

    Got this during Black Friday sales. The color was not good. This item also had streaking on the screen. It may have been a defective item.

    Ok resolution but the one speaker is awful. Poor sound quality, you have to turn the volume up too 50 to just hear anything clearly.

    Great tv except one consistent problem

    I bought this tv on black Friday. I was very pleased with it out of the box. However, as we hooked it up to our direct tv there were consistent horizontal lines on certain sections of the panel that blurred out or lagged on the tv. This did not happen on our gaming system or blu ray player. Worked with the cable company and they checked all of their equipment with no solution. Worked with a very helpful Vizio customer service to get it exchanged. New tv had the exact same problems immediately out of the box. After working with direct tv again it was discovered that it is likely due to the refresh rate or a software issue. I was able to resolve the problem by switching the picture setting on the tv to game. This change must've adjusted refresh rate or fixed whatever bug was occurring. Otherwise they may have used cheap parts which are showing. Long story short, tv works great now, but only on game picture mode.

    OK Low End HDTV - Then Problems

    Started out with a decent low end HDTV - sound ok, picture good but not outstanding, very poor viewing angle though. THEN one week in, started getting horizontal streaks and combing for action scenes and transitions. Not a problem with my older TV. Switched cables, ports, DIRECTV boxes, TVs, clearly a TV issue. Contacted VIZIO, while polite they were no help and blamed the signal (1080i DIRECTV). Only thing they could suggest was the catchall 'unplug, wait 30 sec with power pressed, turn on'. Of course, no change. Cheap TV but returned. My conclusion, this TV (specific or firmware) has interlacing issues. As a newer, lower end model made in China (not even Mexico) I believe VIZIO has some problems. BBY sales person says they are seeing a number of customer issues.

    I've been waiting for problems with this tv (d48n-e0), but none so far. I've already gotten my money out of it. The picture is great, the sound is acceptable and it was an excellent deal for a full-array TV. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the headphone jack has a bit of latency, so when I connect it to external speakers there is a tiny bit of delay in the sound.

    Our 3rd Vizio TV

    This is #3 Vizio for us, an 37" & and 42" Vizio and again so far top quality. Fast simple set-up using this 48" Vizio automatic set-up (HDMI). cable box (Fios). We got it on a super sale discount and that was very nice of BestBuy. We did not need a 4K/SMART TV and this D Series Vizio was just what we wanted w/O bells & whisles.. We had an 32" Vizio ordered and ready for store pick-up but decided to move the other 2 Vizio's around and store bought it. Everyone was super from the Sales Associate to the guy who helded load it in the SUV.

    I purchased this TV on a Monday dec 12th not knowing it was Green Monday. TV regularly priced at $350 was on sale on Black Friday for $250, we'll I bought it for $229 on Green Monday AND BestBuy was also offering $25 off if you checked out using Visa Check Out. I ended up paying $204 for this TV. WOW. $204 for a Vizio 48", money well spent!!!

    My previous HDTV died, so I needed a new one. And at the time I purchased this Vizio TV I was pretty short on cash. This has been a good TV. Picture quality is fine. I does what I need. But I do have one issue which really bugs me. The TV has no buttons on the TV to control anything. If you lose the remote control, you're really out of luck. I wish I'd known this when I bought it. The possibility of a TV not having any controls on the TV at all, never occurred to me.

    Don't bother

    My first Visio, I THOUGHT they were supposed to be high quality, but picture issues resulted in me returning it within 4 days (traded even up for a 49" Toshiba). Biggest issue is with horizontal alignment: it had trouble matching to half to bottom half whenever there was a sudden scene change. At first I thought maybe I had a bad one and thought about exchanging for an identical one, but then started reading reviews and realized others were having same problem I was. I am glad Best Buy has such a nice return policy, as I had no problems with them at all. I will buy from Best Buy again, but not a Visio

    Great quality. Looks just as good or better than my old Sony KDL series TV. Casing is put together sturdy. You'll feel like you got the most bang for the buck buying this vizio.

    Beware of settings

    This looks great when it is set up right, but the picture was warped on a number of HD channels on cable until we turned on game mode. Not thinking that something called game mode would be necessary to watch tv, we first got a new cable box and line just to try to figure out what was wrong with the picture.

    Sad to return 2 TVs

    I got the tv home, set it up and I was enjoying this bright picture. Then horizontal lines appeared, pixelating the screen above the line. Sooo, the next morning same issues. I rebooted my system- no improvement. The customer service folk took great care of me. Got the second one home and there was a line on this one doing the same disruptive thing to the screen. Geeze!!!!!!

    SOUND Disappointment

    Giving TV a 1 STAR- SOUND VERY POOR. Had to set Volume 56 but had to stay in room to hear. If I left to go to next room, about 6 ft away, I had to turn up volume 71 and could barely hear that far. The Max may be 90, but was afraid to go that high in case I blew the speakers. For a 48" TV I should not have to play the volume that high. The speakers should match the size of the TV BOX! I should not have to further invest $$ in a SOUND BAR. Other TV's I had did not have this problem. I don't have a hearing problem. Returning TV for refund. This is my first Best Buy item. I don't like their 15 day return policy at Best Buy. Other companies honor 90 days, so you're almost forced to buy their Warranty Plan.
