got this TV exactly 2 years ago, screen went black today, customer service claimed the repair cost more than buying new one. I throwed $900 to the trash morning..Even the trash man said I've been getting lot these..Vizio is a fraudulent brand , they product is not worth a penny...Do not buy.

Clean simple design Great tv at a very reasonable price

This is a good TV the problem is you have to calibrated correctly to get the appropriate color and that can be time consuming. When you first receive it the TV will be in vivid mode it looks halfway decent but if you look closely you will see all the images are pixelated, blurry some images look like they have lines or halos around them. You must turn down the sharpness I put mine down to 55 . You also have to watch the contract if you put it to high things will return to blurry I have mine between 64 and 68 , brightness around 40 to 45 , backlight 100%.,but also make sure your picture is in standard mode NOT vivid mode. This will make the picture looks better but not perfect. You then need to go into color calibration and hit color tuner you can adjust the red, blue, green, cyan magenta, and yellow. After you get the color adjusted to somewhat decent you must do one more step. Why you are in color tuner hit the right button arrow on your remote and it will take you into something called 11 point White balance it will say Gain 5%, 10%,20% all the way up to 100% you must adjust each percent 5% must be adjusted 10% must be adjusted and so on all the way up to 100%. I just went up with everything I didn't go past 20 on any of them some a lot less. I would recommend just putting everything at 10% then look at the picture and see what needs to be adjusted it makes all the colors vibrant . It also takes out the washed out look it's a long process but once you get it right the picture will look great and you will be very happy.

OMG! 1st off I want to say I just learned what a 4k Smart TV was in November from my coworkers. So now that I could afford one (senior nursing student/starving student) cause I got my taxes lol I had to get this one! I was between this one and the 55inch LG ($100 cheaper) but after going into the store and seeing both TVs and talking with the staff I decided on this one! I love the picture quality! I love how the the controller has a freaking whole keyboard on the back! I love that the set-up is pretty idiot proof! I mounted it on the wall so I bought the sound bar by Vizio the 5.1 with 38" sub woofer. I don't know if you really need this I just read other people's reviews and they said if you are going to mount a sound bar is a must...The TV is wonderful! Easy to connect to the internet. It's not to heavy I think it's like 38 pounds and I have a mount that supports 100 pounds (by Mount-It on Amazon/wayyyyyyyyy cheaper!). I also registered my TV with Vizio and Geek Squad is always a must for me BUT be aware if your TV falls off the wall from bad mounting they WILL NOT cover that! I hate that cause I mounted my TV myself and it's my first time but hey...

I purchases this TV to replace a Samsung that had served us well for many years. At first I was determined to purchase another Samsung, as my experience with them has always been terrific, but I thought that I would give Vizio a shot because it had some aspects on the technical side that were a bit better then the "like" Samsung. I got the TV delivered, which was done so very professionally by Best Buy. I unboxed it and installed it, removing my old Samsung. The Vizio worked for roughly 20 hours before it just went dead. We called tech support at Vizio who walked us through a number of trouble shooting steps before deeming it an out of box defect. They told us to call back in for the RMA number once we have removed it from the wall and boxed it up. We called back in and spoke to another member of the customer support at Vizio and the gentleman started us back at the beginning asking the same questions, taking us through the same steps even after we told him that we had called in already and were told to box it up and call back for an RMA, but he still kept asking. After getting the same results as the first round of questions, he finally gave me the RMA and said that they will send me a replacement that will be there within 10 -14 business days.....yes you read that correctly, 10-14 business days without a TV in a household with small children. How well did he really think that would go? I tried to explain what the issue with that long of a timeline was but he said that he had no way to make it happen sooner. I asked for a supervisor and after waiting quite a while the person I was working with came back on and said that his supervisor told him to tell me the best that they could do was call the warehouse and ask them to expedite it but that they would not give any guaranty, which to me sounded more like a tactic to get me off of the phone. Their tactic worked I hung up, drove to Best Buy, returned the Vizio, and purchased another brand of TV that has since been up and working for about 2 weeks without issue. I will never buy a Vizio anything again.
