Won't turn on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a problem that requires me to unplug the TV at least once a day because the remote won't turn on the TV. Vizio knows about this problem and if you search for the problem you will see hundreds of similar reports. Vizio claims that if it will reset by unplugging it then it is not a problem and they won't cover it under warranty. So that money was wasted. Don't be like me. Try another brand.

Cast a shadow over Smart
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a smart TV! you need to use your cell phone or tablet to get any of the smart features. Your phone will have to be connected to the wife, and blue tooth to operate this TV. So you might as well have your phone plugged in near by when watching your Smart CAST TV. If you leave the house with your cell phone... nobody else can watch Amazon, or Netflix etc. EVERY single person will need to download all they apps on their respective cell phones. The app is NOT user friendly.

Posted .Thanks for your purchase and feedback. VIZIO SmartCast™ products are controlled using an application instead of a traditional remote. This means that any VIZIO SmartCast™ device can be controlled using most smartphones and tablets. We realize this is brand new technology and it takes some time to get used to it. First and last Vizio product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 60'' E-series TV less than two years ago. Mediocre picture, poor sound. About a month ago, noticed dark spots appearing behind picture. Doing some research online, we discovered that it was a known issue, and that previous generations of the same model were covered 2 years for this issue under an extended manufacturer's warranty. Contacted Vizio who requested photos and proof of purchase. After doing the legwork and sending them the documentation, Vizio told us that this model did not qualify for the extended coverage, and that they wouldn't do anything. According to them, this was an issue with previous models but "has been resolved" for newer models. The dark spots continue to grow larger, covering about 30% of the screen now. Be warned, these TVs do not last. Spend the extra money for a more reliable brand.

Bad colors
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spent 2 day researching tvs for my basement and thought I would give this one a try. Well it's going back tomorrow. I should have listened to the salesman about this tv. Having to use you phone to do most everything for this tv sucked. Spent 5 hrs trying to get the colors right and nothing. Gonna spend 200.00 more and get a Samsung, I all ready gave 2 and should have stuck with them. I learned my lesson.

Terrible Purchase. Stay away from Vizio!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just outside of my warranty, this total piece of junk is covered mostly in blue splotches on the screen. Every input or menu. It keeps getting worse and after contacting Vizio, they did not offer any resolutions or apologies. I am sick that I just bought another Vizio monitor and sounder 3 months ago for my bedroom. They offered OSS for other models that failed with the same issue. They claim that they 'fixed it' for newer monitors and I am not eligible for OSS. Well Vizio, you did not fix the previous issues. You should stand behind your loyal customers. Please stay tuned, Best Buy customers. I will edit this review and provide a link to the website that I am building to completely document my issues with this purchase, as well as why you should avoid a company who doesn't stand behind their buyers.

Cheap for a reason
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought brand new just over 2 years ago. Screen now goes black on and off to the point where I cannot watch anything. Vizio said it was the backlight, provided zero tech support in determining what part I may be able to fix tv with, and immediately recommended buying a new tv. Search results show this is VERY common for Vizio to do. This was the most expensive TV I have ever purchased, the least reliable one (including display models I have bought in the plastic), and most likely my last Vizio. Lastly, the tv came with a remote with very limited functionality. Their SmartCast app is a requirement just to get to a menu. Pretty dumb for a a “smart” tv.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would return it if I could. This is not a TV, they have many "reasons" why you can not stream from TV, the remote control is useless, and you can't have access to the web browser. But, it shouldn't, this is my second VIzio, I just saw that it had good rating, the salesperson didn't even tell me about it. My fault, didn't do my usual research, didn't install and try immediately, but I trusted this brand. Some weeks after I bought a Samsung, same price, 4k, awesome TV. Believe me you don't this TV, you want new technology but options, it is not intuitive. I've been having problems with Netflix, sometimes, it doesn't give me the option to cast.

Dead Pixels
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice display, for a few weeks. Some pixels have gone dark in the bottom right corner. It is a very small area, but is easily noticeable under most conditions. I called VIZIO customer support and though hold times were long, they seemed responsive. Per their request I sent pictures to their support team. From one of the pictures they decided that a bug had gotten into my display and it would not be covered under warranty. A single picture, they decided it was a bug, and poof, no warranty coverage. Very unprofessional, not to mention I’m not happy with a display with a dark spot.

One year and the Display is already going
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV just over a year ago. I noticed just a few days ago that half the display is dimmer than the other half so I changed some settings hoping that would help and no luck. I called Vizio to try and see if someone would help me and I was told that I am 8 weeks outside the warranty and they cannot do anything to help me. Best Buy is not my issue Vizio is and their poorly made products. I would suggest looking for a company that offers a better warranty. On a side note Best Buy has always been incredibly helpful when purchasing different products.

This is not a smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although the tag on the display floor is labeled Smart as it is on many other TVs at Best Buy. This TV is not a smart TV. It requires apps from a phone or tablet or other device to view things like Netflix, Vudu, etc. Sales people had indicated this was a smart tv. When I found out it was not a smart tv I asked Best Buy folks if that was not false advertising. They said it was Vizios description and there was nothing they could do about it. After complaining enough they finally offered to throw in a 4k Roku. I'll try that to see if it will work?? I'm not familiar with Roku. Either way I'll submit a complaint to Best Buy and Vizio. Lesson to learn smart TVs are not always smart!!

Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want to stream be prepared to tie up a phone, tablet, or computer as this TV uses the Google Chromecast technology. You will also have to use that device to get into advanced settings as the remote that comes with it is very basic. 4K picture was not that great as I have a Sony 4K as well that is outstanding. No digital tuner is built in if you want to use an antenna to get local channels it wont work. I had to return due to speakers making a crackling noise sometines. This TV was made to be cheap and attract people to the price but do not fall for it. Spend a little more and get a true smart TV.

Terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst product i've ever used. It loses network connection about 20 mins and the only way to get it to reconnect is set up the TV from the beginning again and again and again, i'm talking full setup again.. just to do it over again in 20 mins.
