The Visio didn’t look like the one we saw in store
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was very dissatisfied with the quality of picture. We actually went back to store to look at the one displayed there. It was fantastic compared to ours. We returned it. And purchased a Samsung

Only one true HDR/ARC HDMI port
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Because of only having one HDR/ARC HDMI Port I could not connect my sound bar and my PS4 to the slot needed. ARC turns on the soundbar when the TV is powered on.

Absolutely stunning picture quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are upgrading from a 7 year old Samsung Plasma that looked great but drove us both crazy with the reflection no matter how dark or light it was it always was like a glowing reflection of the living room. So after months and months of reading reviews and comparing things online I had decided on the Tcl 55 inch and so we went down to Best Buy and my wife went thru and compared the glare (in her opinion) of every TV and she liked the Vizio 65 inch the best as well as it being the best looking display in the store to both of us. Still I went and bought the Tcl and they were out of stock so we scheduled a delivery for a day or so out and when we got up the next morning we both knew we would feel like we settled if we got any TV besides this one. After realizing the wife was not only allowing but was encouraging a 65 inch TV I still was leaning toward the Samsung 8000 series because of the name recognition. But the eyes like what the eyes like and the picture on this TV is easily the best I saw out of however many other ones were in display. We are in a pretty bright room with it wall mounted and the glare is almost non existent when the TV is tilted slightly downward although it is not bad to begin with. Picture settings are pretty much calibrated mode with brightness at 80 and sharpness at 0 and gamma set at 2 and both Dolby Vision and HDR10 look fantastic and I love that it tells you what it is displaying. I did need to go into input settings and turn on the Full color spectrum or something for that specific input..which brings me to my only drawback. It appears that my Roku 4k box is quicker and displays the same apps in higher quality than the smartcast or casting from the phone so this requires the HDMI ARC input to be used by the Roku and making the Sony Hct 290(?) Not positive on model number need to be connected via optical for the best performance. Wish I could tie it all together in one remote and see volume on screen but doing that gives me a lower quality picture, Other than that it is perfect and I would still but it over any other TV available in a similar range, just means using a set up different than what I intended but the flip side is the wife let me get the The 65 inch, coming from a 43 inch plasma it is like sitting at the theater when watching it.

Great mid level 4K and HDR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this after my 6 year old Samsung started having issues with the input dropping out. I needed something larger (sit 16 feet away) and wanted to step up to the 4K and HDR world. I've had a few entry level Vizio TVs before and have enjoyed them. With the new 2017 models, the M-series steps up for full UHD capability with a 10-bit panel. While local dimming zones are less. Over all, I am very pleased with this purchase. I run everything through an Xbox One S, so I'm not using the casting capabilities that others have been complaining about. The picture is extremely sharp, and HDR content really pops (X-Men apocalypse is a great test for this). I would recommend visiting rtings.com and using their calibration settings. This TV has a lot of settings, and spending the time on them could take a very long time. I have found color replication to be great. Viewing angles are not as great as I would have hoped for. Definitely better than my old TV, but not as much as I had thought it would be. I also am not a fan of the local dimming. While browsing the Xbox guide, you can see where the zones are. As such, I've turned it off since then. Maybe is the small number of zones it has, but not the best feature. I would definitely make the same purchase again. Vizio has come a long way.

Nice but ..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Features and quality are there for the price, but I've noticed the dark colors especially black look almost blue sometimes.
