An easy 1080p
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hdr. 4k. Quality not as great as their demo in store. On ps4 pro. Has "snowflakes" during certain dark scenes or colors. Quality not that great. Upgraded for 60" vizio 1080p. Quality looks the same from what i notice. Get samsung or another cheaper better quality tv for the peice of this one. Spent 1360$ not worth it.

broke after 1 year 4 months
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture when I bought it, but now is completely broken and less than 2 years old. It doesn't even turn on at all. it made it past 1 year so it's out of warranty. Vizio said that they would replace a part that had been recalled, but never came.

Flickering Lines
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first got this television, I noticed flickering lines on my input. I was concerned that the 4k HDMI Cables I had gotten were bad, then I noticed it did it on my other (1080) inputs as well. In fact, the only application that did not show these annoying lines was the SmartCast. I debated returning the television for a couple weeks, then the problem seemed to go away for all of 2 months. Then, just as quickly as it disappeared, it came back! There are more lines now. All horizontal. Mostly white, though if there's a white or black background, sometimes they're a purple color, and nothing has helped. I have not attempted to call VIzio customer service yet, though all my internet research points to them needing to update the firmware. I like watching Netflix at 4K, but the SmartCast Amazon app doesn't support it yet. So right now it's deal with the lines or stream everything. Would not buy again.

Great Brand, Not a Great Model
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had Vizio TV's my entire life and love them. However - the fact that this is a "smart tv" but you cannot download any apps to is it crazy. You have to stream everything through chromecast on a seperate device i.e. your phone, laptop, ipad, etc. I returned and went with Samsung. MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!!

Best Non-OLED TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was upgrading from a Vizio 55" M series, and chose this 65" M model, as one of the least hyped but most important feature to me, are Local Dimming Zones, which this model has 32 of. Having come from Panasonic plasma, I was used to excellent contrast, and black blacks. This Vizio does not disappoint. Not only does the XLED (local dimming) provide plasma quality contrast, it actually surpasses it because you can brighten up the picture without having to worry about burn-in like you would with Plasma and to some extent, OLED. Vizio makes a solid TV (monitor in this case), and I highly recommend the M series or more expensive P series sets if you want the best in picture quality with a good price point. Roll over to the rtings website for calibration settings (which were spot on for this set) or use the built in picture settings...both were great on this TV.

Not worth the money

Only 1 4K HDMI port
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.be aware that while the tv has 4 HDMI ports only one of them has the ability to use 4K. it requires you to buy an additional 4K switch to use as well. If I could go back I would buy a different tv.

Impressed by HDR, horrified of Local Dimming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm watching Lucy on a 4k HDR samsung player and it looks beautiful. I had The Dark Knight Rises on for 30 min before finding which port(HDMI 1) has HDR capability and if I actually had to turn it on(yes) or if it was automatic. The image quality is overwhelmingly different. The black levels and rich colors are impressive with local dimming option off. Local dimming on this tv is horrendous. I'm not even one to complain about most things but this option on the display settings is worth someone getting fired over. Corporate approval of this baffles me. Honestly. They look like permanent shadows in the shape of oval circles cast on your display. Almost like seeing a shadow on your set from the window blinds while watching on a sunny day. Maybe my tv defective? Idk but I turn it off and it looks great. I don't know if I would recommend this since this is my first 4K tv, so I have no other tv to compare it to. I'm wondering if the HDR is equally great on the E series and if I might have overpaid for the M.

TERRIBLE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 14 months, would not turn on...Vizio customer service was terrible. Said I was out of luck. Paid $50 to a repair shop and I am told that the main board is blown and they can't find another one. The power board is fine. Waste of $1,200. My first and LAST vizio.

Awesome TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV! Having such a great experience with Smartcast from my phone but the remote included is great too. I also use my Google Mini especially for volume control and asking her to play music hands free. I also purchased a Vizio Soundbar which was the easiest install I've ever experienced. I plugged it in, attached the optical cable to the tv it just started working! I plugged my sons XBox1 w/blueray player into slot one for HDR so no need for another HDR slot. If you need another HDR slot, there are switches for that. My BF installed a wonderful mount so I can pull the tv out 29" and swivel it 90 degrees for any viewing angle I need. We pulled it straight out towards where we were sitting and it felt like we were in a movie theater. Also, I don't want a tuner, haven't used one in 30 years. If I ever decide to quite cable, I guess I'll buy a tuner. Don't see that coming anytime soon. This TV fit all my needs, couldn't be happier! HDR, 4K, soundbar, Google Mini and Mount, total cost was a little over 700. I'm guessing I saved at least 500.00 compared to competition!

Not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality isn't as good as I was sold on. The worst part of this T.V. is the internet connections keeps dropping and I have to unplug and let it reboot.

Half of the screen suddenly became darker

8.5/10 only bc of a few glitches.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, it has been a WONDERFUL TV w a few glitches. There were random times when I couldn't turn my TV on with my remote OR the app, had to unplug the TV a few times and try again. Even w that- it didn't happen a lot and was and is totally worth buying the TV. Picture quality is spot on, esp for the price I paid. Vizio's Cast has enabled me to step away from Roku or other hardware and just cast via computer or phone- creating a lot of versatility. Would buy again.

Amazing Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't say enough good things about this TV. Without a doubt, you will not get richer colors or deeper blacks outside of OLED. Their new "XLED" technology is so close to OLED, you'd be hard pressed to notice a difference. I'd like to complain about this TV, but I can't find anything to dislike. It can go head-to-head with any 4k TV out there, and take the price. And for the price, you really can't beat it. I highly recommend this TV. Side note: Chromecast works beautifully with this TV, but the built-in smart TV apps are coming in a later firmware update.

Best Value 65" 4K on the Market Today
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At $899 this truly is the best 4K 65" Value TV you can get. It has True HDR with WCG. Color's Pop out and the Smart TV Function has the best of both worlds. Some are built in, but if not included you can just Cast from your Phone or Tablet. I do recommend you go to this Web Site for Calibrations Settings. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/vizio/m-series-xled-2017 make TV look even better.
