Not subtitle friendly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you watch with subtitles the LED full-array blooming effect could be very distracting. I loved the picture for the price, but as the top tier of Vizio’s TV line at the time, I was disappointed in its handling of subtitles. The blooming effect from the LEDs brightening and dimming constantly with the subtitles was distracting, especially in dark scenes. The feature that sold me on this TV was the full-array with local dimming feature. However, it seems the logic that controls the LED zones or provides awareness of subtitles were subpar and it left me frustrated. I returned this and purchased an OLED. It doesn’t get nearly as bright, but the subtitles (and surrounding picture) look great!

Issues!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not just a TV anymore. I spent two hours tweaking the picture to my liking and to my rooms light level over several days. When a white screen came on you had to close your eyes it was so bright under factory specs. The sound would not work multiple times and needed to be restarted to fix it. The aspect ratio would change at random with the same outcome it needed a restart. Playing PS4 I observed vertical lines at random that would last for a half hour at a time kind of like double vision or 3D with no glasses, (picture below.) Also during gameplay streaks were left behind by my Ninja or Outlander but not all the time, random. Watching TV shows the mouths didn't line up with the voices, which is another setting to tweak. After hard starting and soft starting issues still remained. My old Sony KDL-52W3000 still works flawlessly with none of the above issues.

don’t let the store display fool you
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Eager to make the upgrade from an old 42” tv, I paced back and forth between this TV and the Samsung NU8000. The demo they had running on the Vizio looked AMAZING. It had a crisp image and looked slightly better than the Samsung. The price was also good. But when I got it home, I noticed the prevailing issue with this tv within a week. During normal, darker content the screen looks perfect, but in light scenes you can see shadows around the bulbs of the backlighting. And once you see it you can’t unsee. It will drive you crazy, and looks awful. While there are much more expensive TVs on the market, for $1000 I better not see imperfections on the screen from day one. I ended up returning the tv and going for the Samsung Q6F instead. It cost a couple hundred bucks more, but is well, well worth it. My old TV was a Vizio and worked great, but this one is garbage.

Vizio is worth every penny
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After two months with my P65-F1, I can honestly say this is a great purchase. Kills the Samsung NU8000 and goes after the Sony X900f. The E-1 model from last year is even cheaper now and almost identical quality. This is a TV to consider; even if you have the extra money for the Sony. Special thanks to best buy for expediting the order.

Decent TV, but with disappointing flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box the picture looks really good. Very bright and sharp, motion handled well. Biggest issue is vertical banding / cloudy screen is noticeable, particularly with certain content and when the picture is panning. It's worse when TV is viewed at an angle, but I understand LCDs don't have great viewing angles in general. I don't know if Vizio considers this banding to be "normal" for this TV so I may decide to return it and see if another one is better. Somewhat disappointing as I decided to spend more for the high-end P series model instead of M series or another brand like TCL.

Don’t let the display demo fool you
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv looked amazing on the show room floor. The display Vizio puts up for this tv makes it have outstanding picture quality.... until you bring it home. I went through 2 different TVs and both had the same screen panel issue. When different colors are up on the screen it’s not noticeable. But I was watching a 4k movie and every time there was a sky or light colored scene you could see huge squares all across the center of the screen and it is VERY noticeable. Once you see it you cannot unsee it. I went through 2 different TVs and both had this issue. I did not want to keep returning to the store every week to get a new tv so I ended up spending a little more for a Samsung Q6FN and do no regret it one bit. In fact I should have just purchased the Samsung to begin with as it would have saved me all this hassle. After researching on forums I found this is a very common issue with Vizio TVs that have full aray backlight panels. Btw the floor model did not have this panel issue so I am sure they hand pick the floor model. My friend has this tv which is why I bought it in the first place. But he does not have the issue I did. If you want to play the panel lottery and get lucky then congrats on your new tv. This was my first and sadly last Vizio purchase. The Samsung Q6 I just purchased is also my first Samsung tv and thankfully I had a great first experience. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Buy quality, not Vizio.

IMO the best value in 4K TVs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace an aging 55" Samsung LCD TV and could not be more pleased with my selection. I actually walked into the store prepared to spend much more, but after scrutinizing several different sets for an hour I finally decided on the Vizio and couldn't be happier. The only issue is that it now makes the other two TV's in my home much less "watchable" because of how stunning this unit is.

Gorgeous TV? Plenty of customizable settings.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received excellent help in choosing a TV from Best Buy associate. TV was delivered on time and in original undamaged box. TV's audio is adequate but I recommend using a high quality sound bar or surround sound system. There are plenty of customizable settings to satisfy the needs of any tech savvy or general user. Love the quality and the price of this TV. Feature full and gorgeous picture!

Fantastic television for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this for our den, to use with our XBox One X. Needless to say we are extremely pleased with our purchase. 4K HDR image, colors, and contenr looks great. The local image lighting zones make sure our darks always stay super dark, even when using white captions. Glad we made the purchase and would do it again.

Wonderful Picture at a Fantastic Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were originally looking to purchase a $2700 QLED 65” tv. But after many hours of research and honestly evaluating what level of “home theater” we could purchase without feeling guilty, we purchased the Vizio. It was on sale during the March Madness events for $849. What a great tv! The picture is fantastic and the smart tv functions are very easy to use. We are very happy with our purchase!

I love my P-Series!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking at the P-Series for years and I finally took the leap and I'm glad I did. I moved my 55" Vizio from the living room to the man room and put this bad boy in it's place. As far as picture quality goes it competes with all the rest at a fraction of the cost. I honestly believe Vizio is now one of the best products to buy and I foresee myself purchasing more for years to come.

Great options
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great Mid level TV well worth its price point. Gaming has some very nice options. This TV works really nice for 4k blue ray but shines with 120Hz 1080 option makes many things look better than some 4k especially for gaming. The 120HZ 1080 really does pop on this TV better than most other brands I have seen at this size. Very responsive as well, Vizio P 65 inch display 2018 version.

Easiest set up ever and great picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so impressed with how fast and easy the setup was with this television. Even unboxing was easy. Total time from box to watching ...10 minutes! Picture is great for the price. Certainly OLED would have had a better picture but at twice the price. I think anyone would be happy with this purchase
