This is Vizio's first attempt at the high scale TV market and they started out right. First of all, the packaging hints at how well this unit is crafted. The TV is well packed and protected. The unpacking instructions are simple and well thought out. Once you lay the box flat the TV pulls out easily with the built in handles in the bag surrounding the screen. The two small stands slide in easily and attach with two screws each. The connection ports are easy to get to and you will be up and running in no time. Setup is step by step and you will be connected online and the unit updated in between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your internet speed. Once the initial setup is complete the true magic begins. The preset calibrated settings look great. The colors from deep black to bright whites are super life-like. I have it hooked to my Xbox X and it allows to experience the best 4K experience available. The only item I had an issue with was HDR not showing available for movies and games. I spent some time reviewing documentation and could not figure out how to enable. I finally called Customer Service and my call was answered on the first ring. The agent was very friendly and my question answered in a matter of minutes. I was connected to HDMI port 5 and only ports 2 through 4 support HDR. The excellent picture got much better with HDR enabled. The connected features are amazing. Casting from your mobile device is simple with any applications that work with Chromecast. the Vizio Cast application allows your mobile device to act as a full function remote control. in addition you can connect it to Google Home and control with voice commands. The TV housing is beautiful and of high quality material. The P series is a good option to consider if you are looking for a high quality, budget friendly TV. The advanced features will keep this device up to date with technology for years to come.
