We've owned a few Vizios in the past and happy with the quality of our most recent purchase.

I really wanted to write a great review for Vizio. I wanted to believe that we can actually have an affordable display without having to compromise our finances. Unfortunately this TV is bad in so many aspects, that I made a promise to write a review about how bad it is on every website I have an account on. Let's start with what people complain most about it, the smartcast feature. It's horrible, sluggish, most content will play at horrible resolution (I'm talking 480p) and it really ain't my internet (1GB), I made several tests on switching between my appleTV 4k and the internal smartcast, and I just gave up on it. One might say, we don't need smart tvs with apple tvs and chromecasts out there. And I totally support that idea, but this smartcast feature simply gets on your way. Second is sound, it's bad, I ended up putting another 300 bucks on a soundbar just to be able to bear the horrible sound speakers this TV has. Finally image quality. It's ok, the full active zones work well for some images, but are really bad when you have solid black with a few dots of whites, generate so much "noise" around the clear pixels. HDMI is also pretty annoying in this TV for some reason. I have a nvida shield TV and for a while I thought that my box was broken, turns out (even after switching off CEC) this TV has some serious HDMI compatibility issues (nvidia shield, xbox one x, and apple tv 4k) all suffer from lagging, audio/video sync issues. Bottom line, it's not a cheap TV, but it does not deliver what it asks for. If this were a 499, 599 TV I would never give such a bad review, but getting close to Sony/Samsung prices, they really drop the ball on this one. PS: I've contacted the support from the manufacturer 8 times over the 3 months I had this TV, nobody there was able to help me out.

This is a great tv with a lot of built in options.

This is a great 4K tv with Dolby vision it beats most of the expensive 4K tv out there.

Way under priced and comparable to sony and samsung

I'm hoping this tv will last longer than my other 65 inch. It was an LG and lasted 3 years.

Very happy with this TV so far. The P-Series has a better panel than lower series.

I bought this vizio but later exchanged it for a Samsung smart tv. The vizio wasn’t cheap and the picture quality is dull the volume is very low. For the Samsung picture quality is perfect and clear but the volume is very low.

I am going to cut to the chase on this TV. If you’re in the market for a TV this size and price, buy it. Brief history on the TV’s I have owned in the past few years. I started in the flat screen world with a Panasonic Plasma 42” and loved it, then in 2014 I bought a Sony LED 55” and was never really happy with the color or viewing angles coming from that Panasonic. Then I got this Vizio….holy smokes what a great TV! Let’s start with the unboxing, they packed the tv to protect the screen and inserted it into a high strength plastic bag with handles that allows you to slide it out easily. They recommend you do this with another person but I’m a grown man and I did it by myself. Leaving it on the Styrofoam inserts also allowed me to put the legs on it. Easy peasy. The TV itself is extremely thin and light for its size. All of your connections are on one side besides the power cable. Nothing that would get in the way of a wall mount, good thinking. Vizio also removed ¾ of the bezel on this tv, leaving only the bottom with a brushed aluminum strip and vizio label in the bottom right corner. T When I first turned the tv on and set it up it was literally like looking at my iPhone X on full brightness in the middle of the night…almost blinding. This TV is bright and extremely colorful. Once I got everything fired up I went in and played with calibrations and within minutes I got the TV exactly where I wanted it to be…for now. I know I’ll be playing with the calibrations for a few weeks till I finally get it perfect but honestly the “Calibrated” setting is pretty close to where I want to be. The picture on this tv is downright beautiful. The only downside I noticed was a slight darkness in all 4 corners..only really noticeable when there are lighter scenes on. Not a huge issue for me, but I know there are those that would skip the Vizio for that reason. From what I can tell, the viewing angles are actually really good...at least compared to what I was used to. The sound on this tv is as you would expect from a flat screen…not so good but I think most of us are rocking a soundbar right? If not you’ll probably end up buying one, this one is nothing to write home about. The TV has built in support for Google Assistant and Alexa. Sweet! This TV also features a tuner, which I understand was missing from a few previous models. The apps on this tv are, unlike my Sony, actually apps that I will want to use. You’ve got VUDU, Netflix, Amazon, Kumo, Crackle and Iheart Radio built into the remote and some more cool ones on the actual tv itself. The apps are really snappy to react when clicking and do not take forever to open (Glaring at you Sony). Vizio has said that they will have an app that, with an internet connection, you’ll be able to stream TV and local channels to your tv, great for cord cutters! The Netflix and Youtube app on this tv is much faster than the app on my cable box, which was pretty fast as is. Loading up took no time at all. Streamed Planet Earth II on Netflix and my jaw just about dropped. The brightness and clarity of the picture is pretty mind boggling. I’m really impressed with this part of the TV and I can’t wait to see how much support the apps get in the future. I won’t get deep into the specs on this tv because there are videos and reviews online for that purpose alone. Go to Best Buy and check this TV out in person, it’s worth your time if you’re in the market for one. I have to honestly say, I’m sad I never gave Vizio a fair shake in my former TV searches…but this 2018 version P series has changed my mind and outlook on the Vizio line as a whole. The picture is incredibly clear and the colors are pretty insane. I’m still trying to delve into all the settings but I am already in love with this TV. After years with my Sony that I liked but didn’t love, this vizio fits the bill perfectly. Great TV for a great price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a 65” smart tv.
