We had got a bad panel, don't know how to explain it other than saying it looked like it had light bulbs on behind the screen right out of the box and they would not go off. Last Vizio I will ever purchase. Got a LG and Samsung instead.

Posted .Hello SStone, The SmartCast input does have limited applications installed and you cannot add extra apps to the input. We are continuously evaluating new applications for possible addition to this screen. In the meantime you can cast any of the thousands of Chromecast enabled applications to the TV from any mobile device on your network.

Great TV, but quality is not so great

Full-Array backlighting, a billion colors, very bright HDR, fantastic contrast. The picture is almost as clear and sharp as the Sony and Samsung models I own. My Xbox One X looked fantastic. HDR popped out of the screen and the blacks were deep. The TV itself is very handsome and looks great in a room. But...after two weeks...it broke. I started getting white lines across the whole screen. At first I thought it was rain effects in Forza 7, but I checked and it was all the inputs. It looked like lasers shooting across the screen. It ruined the picture. And then the TV would turn on by itself too. Electrical gremlins? Looks like. A quick Google search shows the P-Series had this same problem last year. It's a faulty component (according to people's posts) and needs someone to come out and take apart the TV to fix it. No thanks. I returned it and got a Samsung Q6F and love it. It's a fantastic TV and looks sensational. It's just such a shame about the quality issues. I have a Vizio TV in my bedroom (E-Series) that likes to turn itself on every once in awhile too so I guess the P-Series is not alone. Just hope that yours doesn't go whacky like mine did.

Posted .Hello Ernie, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

After 20 months the TV died.

There is only sound. If it wasn't for the Best Buy warranty I would SOL. My Samsung that I bought 15 years ago that has had more than 12 hours of use is still alive.

Defective TV

Dark bar appears across the screen, doesnt recognize my wifi, apps dont work. Only can cast from my phone. Still waiting (almost a month) for an exchange but no luck from the store. Very disappointed.

DONT BUY THIS

Great TV but failed and had to be replaced

Did not work as expected
