    nothing to do with agent, just that as total tech member, i shouldnt have had to pay for this. i already pay alot for membership each yr which was supposed to include help for all my products. and this could have been done over the phone. i ended up finishing the fix myself.

    Good at what they, but have very little personal skills. Very reluctant to help when asked questions even though it may be other electronic stuff.

    Install Simplisafe devices

    The next to the last appoint, the technician would not change my password nor upon my request to no speak out the present password. The last home the advance phone call to me, the technician asked what they were going to do. I told them they were to install my Simplisafe keypad and install the Simplisafe camera. I thought it odd that they did not know why they were sent out and not know what they were expected to do. Also, why send out two technicians? Was on in training?

    My Alexa works well sometimes, but not always

    Agents worked to get Alexa working for only my phone number, but I still get occasional calls when people are calling a previous number that was connected to Alexa

    Absolutely terrible. Your tech showed up simply to connect an existing light switch in the garage to my Alexa. He said he couldnt do it because of some wiring issue. After he left I found that my Alexa now won't control anything in the house. Existing lights have been deleted, moved to different groups, renamed...in short nothing now works. Everything was fine when he showed up, now nothing works. I called him told him what is happening,and all he said to me is call the store and make a new appointment. Absolutely horrible customer service.

    The agent did not know much about Alexa and advised against the programming of our Sonos with Alexa.

    Regional Manager(Justin Meade) on down was horrible at best. He does not return emails nor calls after the products were finally installed after multiple tries and people from best buy coming to my home to install products I purchased for Smart Home system. I personally would never use GEEK SQUAD for anything ever. They sub out all work. Different people show up to your home. If they have an issue coming they don't call you. They basically just don't show up at all. You have to call them to find out what's going on. This happened to me TWICE during the install process. Regional lied and stated there would be compensation for time wasted as I sat at home on multiple occasions to NO SHow No call TECH's. THIS NEVER HAPPENED. I NOW UNDERSTAND WHY SERVICE IS SO HORRIBLE IT STARTS AT THE TOP.

    Geek squad came twice. Once to evaluate and second time to tell us they could not connect without us hiring an electrician. Delaying could have been avoided.

    Geek squad did not connect all channels

    The agent connected the Alexa cube to the tv. However, we can only access a limited number of channels and services using voice controls.

    I paid good money to have alexa echo 2nd gen. and 3 dots installed and set up in my home. The tech that came to my house admitted that he was not well versed in this equipment. He was not wrong. After some uncomfortable time and some help from me. We were able to get the items out of the box and working. But he never interfaced them with all the uses I needed and applications that I expected them to do. I emailed the Geek Squard and informed them. I got a response asking how they could remeiedy the situation. I told them to finish what they had promised. Still no response.

    Don’t Buy an Install Service

    Never could get them out there to do the job. Ring doorbell had to be installed first by a third party vendor that BB does not tell you about, even though it’s sold through geek squad. Will NEVER but another service install through BB again! Six appointments were made and cancelled all throughout the holidays and BB had NO control over it. So they sell you a service they can’t manage and the customer is left with no install at all! Great service BB!! Hopefully you won’t continue to sell a service you can’t make good on!

    this service call was totally and completely worthless. Prior to service call we used one remote. After service call we are using up to three remotes. Wires that were to be hidden, never happened. Setting up light bulbs was a complete bust. What service rep. was told to put on service order was not was needed to be done. Person who came to do work was pleasant and was not properly made aware of what needed to be done and once he came to do the job, multiple items were required to be purchase that the initial person did not relay. Very very very POOR.

    Geek Squad created a problem and then abandoned me

    A previous Geek Squad agent created a Smart Home voice control problem that 3 later agents were unable to resolve. All 3 promised me they would follow up to make sure it was fixed but none of them ever did, and eventually Best Buy unilaterally marked the case as "Service Completed". My later reviews and messages have been ignored. In effect, Best Buy has abandoned me. I have hitherto been a good Best Buy customer for both product purchases and Geek Squad service, but I am now inclined to stop buying products and request a refund for my Total Tech Support subscription.

    Billed for a no show.

    I set up the meeting with a salesperson who did not seem to know what he was doing. No one showed up at the appointed time. I called a couple times but was put on hold for an extremely long time and gave up. I expected you would call me and set up another meeting. I have received no call. I did not expect to be billed for this. You are in fact billing me for no service. I expect to be refunded what I paid.

    The system is not working as promised. Google Voice still has issues recognizing my wife’s voice and the Frontier Aris cablebox isn’t not cycling on with the other components

    Geek we got did not hang the TV properly, Did not figure out how to use voice commands, did not set up all the Apps for the Smart TV and did not set up any of the Google speakers even thought they charged us $50 each after we took the one year plan for $199. . I allowed them to make another appointment to resolve the issues but thought better of it and cancelled the second appointment. My son and I figured out what the Geek couldn't or did not want to be bothered with. Know what you are paying for before you pay.

      It sounds like you have quite a nice home theater setup, and learning that your experience with Geek Squad did not go as planned, is not the outcome we'd hope for. Best Buy offers a 90-day workmanship warranty on all TV and home theater services.
