This V150 Vosker Solar Cellular Camera is a very niche item but compared to the like items I have or have evaluated; this one takes the cake. But let us be honest at this price it should! When used in areas with adequate cell coverage this makes for a nice game camera or an as advertised security camera. The unit is very well built and super easy to install anywhere with a bit of elbow grease. The camera & solar panel has an IP65 rating, meaning it is dust and rain proof, but it cannot be submerged. So, mount it high and or on a platform that will not collect water. The solar panel will still charge as long as it is not more than 50% covered per the instructions. But I would highly suggest full sunlight if possible or it shuts down until fully charged after a certain point. Camera quality is 1080 or non-HD depending on the subscription plan. The 1080 is OK but noticeably not what even a cheap phone can do these days. The Non-HD is better in night vision than regular. Again, why I think this camera is better suited for an avid hunter then for security purposes. But will work as a tattle-tell security system and not necessarily a real time monitoring system. The unit does also come with a 16GB memory card allowing you to use the camera even without a plan or on the zero-dollar plan. Honestly, my biggest con is the overall cost for the unit and then for a decent monitoring plan. For the cost I personally would not subscribe to a plan except during deer season. I would recommend to anyone with the need for monitoring in a more rural area and also has the availability of cell coverage.

The Vosker V150 camera is a top tier cellular camera that provides fast trigger speeds with good quality pictures to allow you to see what is taking place in the area you have the camera mounted. I was interested in how efficient the solar panel was on the camera, so for the last 11 days, the camera has been operating in an area that receives morning sun and late day shade. So far, the camera has stayed at 100% on the battery indicator. At this point, the camera has taken over 350 pictures. The daytime pictures are good, if you want to receive an HD version of the picture, you can select it and the camera will download the higher resolution the next time it makes contact. I have been more impressed with the night pictures. Trigger range where I have my camera set up is well over 60 feet and you can make out details in the night picture at least 75 feet away, meaning the infrared flash has a range of at least 75 feet. It isn't all perfect. I have not found a way to force the camera to trigger remotely and there is no live view. The app also does not allow any way to schedule when the camera is active and when it is not, however, I found this setting on the Vosker website when I signed into this camera. I have not used the scheduling feature yet. Using the included mount, you have to screw the mount into a wooden structure. There is no included option to use a strap or any other way to mount without damaging the area you are placing the camera, however, the included mount is very secure. This is the first cellular camera I have used, so I can't compare to other cameras on the market, but I am not unhappy at all with this camera. It seems to do everything I need it to and the included solar panel has kept the battery fully charged the entire time I have been using the camera. I think it is a good choice for remote locations.

In the time of full streaming, on-demand video cameras, I didn’t think I would have a need for a still camera. But surprise, this Vosker camera fills a specific need—remote monitoring. I had it set up so I know it keeps a log of those who go in and out of our shed. It is not super remote, but the shed is way in the back where wifi and an extension cord cannot reach. The case of the camera is sturdy and can be placed anywhere. I didn’t worry about heat, cold or moisture. The only thing I made sure is that it gets ample sunlight—and true enough, the solar power keeps the camera topped off for days. Signal is good and photo quality is decent. The only things I dislike are—1) is the subscription. It is too expensive for the stuff it protects for me. The subscription is reasonable—it has cellular connectivity and the battery seems to last forever. But the monthly fee is a little over the top—it’s just more expensive than other cameras with full features. The camera itself is not cheap. I will understand that because of the quality and durability of the case plus the cellular signal. But an added subscription makes it more expensive. 2) customer service is okay. Do not use the chat features. They use a bot. It takes a lot of time to respond and it drops you off when you think you are in a roll. In my experience, it is a mix of bot and a person, and the hand-offs of the responses are horrible. It took me weeks to set up my camera. If you want faster service, and they are pretty good with it once you get to engage with them, is to CALL them directly. They provide the numbers anyway. I say, do the math. If the total cost makes sense to you compared to the great remote features it has, this camera will do great.

    Works Well For Its Purpose

Pros: + Truly wireless mount-it-anywhere security camera solution + Built-in solar panel provides virtually no battery maintenance + Picture resolution is decent, especially when HD photo is requested + Photo capture of people, cars and animals are pretty spot on + Yes, a Web App Login if you want to access photos on PC + Can set a daily on/off schedule (very basic, though) + Customer support is very helpful Cons: - Requires a monthly (or yearly) paid plan, per camera - HD photo allowance based on monthly plan chosen - Cell signal quality may not be strong or existent - Notifications are a bit delayed - Picture color quality reminds me of a vintage Polaroid - No video recordings The Vosker V150 is my first go at a truly wireless surveillance camera solution in that it uses 4G LTE as a means of providing photo notifications. With the built-in solar panel, it’s truly a set-it-and-forget-it, mount-it-anywhere security camera. Speaking of its camera, this unit is only capable of taking photos and not video. Probably due to the combination of preserving battery life and the amount of data allotted for the monthly service, if I had to guess. Photo captures are quite surprising and consistently good, with the only exception of the color production that seems to take cues from an old Polaroid picture. To keep this camera operating for its intended purpose, you will require a data plan. If you forego the data plan, you will be able to use the camera with the included SD card, but you’ll have to remove the SD card to access the photos. There are three data plans to choose from (Elite, Alerted, Basic) and each has their own ## day history (30, 15, 7), ## photos a month (unlimited, 1000, 500) and finally an HD photo allowance (40, 20, 10). The HD photos are there if you decide you need a higher resolution of an already taken photo. By default, lower resolution photos are uploaded to you; if you do need the higher rez photo, you make a request via the app/webapp to retrieve the HD photo. I think this in turn will ping the V150 to upload the higher resolution photo that is already stored in the SD card, and finally make its way to you. It’s all about the data plan and what kind of agreement Vosker has with its 4G LTE provider (I think AT&T based on my conversation with Vosker CS) and what costs are being passed on to you. If this is advertised as a feature, I am not a fan of it at all. Finally, it’s all about use-case scenarios (job sites, remote areas, very large property lot, etc). This camera has the unique ability to be mounted anywhere as long as there is sunlight and a cell tower nearby. The app shows 4 out of 5 bars where I have it mounted, and in some cases 2 out of 5, but it was still able to successfully get my events to me. Battery life is actually very, very good for my particular purpose (no more than 200 events happening in a day, to be honest). The battery just holds at 100% and hasn’t dipped. I even tried mounting it under a shaded area out of direct sunlight and the camera was still able to keep a full charge, so it really doesn’t take much to get the solar panel going. For every new V150 you buy, you’re going to need to get another data plan, so these things can add up very quickly up front, as well as long term. Just something to think about if you’re considering standing up an array of these guys. The V150 comes with a mount, internal battery, SD card, activated SIM card and a USB cable.

Not to happy with this camera other than the device itself, It's very well made and had a lot of thought in design, it is packaged well together. The camera itself however is very low quality and takes grainy pictures when it does capture something, it also doesn't like fast motion either and takes blurry pictures. It does not come with enough mounting options either, a gutter mount, bracket that can be mounted to a wall or something else would have been great as well. The app was easy to set up but it would not read the code when scanned no matter what I did so it had to be imputed manually. There is a fee to get pictures sent to the app or they can be stored in the micro SD card which you can retrieve from the device itself. For what it is, I can't think of another product that has the cellular built into a remote camera with a built in solar panel, so for that this is awesome! Also the battery was always charged by the end of the day.

I was surprised to see a low rating for this security camera system because, after six months of installation, I haven't had any issues with it. I requested it out of curiosity, as it looks quite different from my usual security camera systems. My father installed it pointing towards the tool shed across from the cabins on our camping site, which was about six months ago. The assembly was easy, and it rotates easily from the pivoting point where it was installed. It also comes with a SIM card, like most security camera systems, so you just need to put it inside. To set it up, you just need to install the VOSKER app and follow the step-by-step instructions, which didn't take long at all. I believe that the app is an important factor in determining the success of such systems, and for that, VOSKER gets 5 stars! The app is easy to navigate and the images are clear. If you're looking for a solar-powered security camera, I would highly recommend this one based on my experience.

Hello AmandaW, the V150 is an easy-to-use security camera where Wifi or electricity is not available. The camera comes with a pre-activated SIM card and will connect to the nearest cellular tower where you will use it. The tree mount allows placing the camera in the proper direction. The cameras come with a 10 000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery pack, a 3 ft USB charging cable, a mounting arm, the quick start guide, and a 16 GB MicroSD card. The steps for downloading the app are simple and allow you to receive photos from the camera. Thank you for your review! -KM

The Vosker 150 is really nothing more than an LTE enabled trailcam. I wouldn't call it a "security" camera at all. The fact that it is not wifi capable is also a hinderance to its usefulness. If you don't get a strong LTE signal, it's useless. The property I wanted to monitor is very rural with little signal throughout the area. On my ATT phone I get 1-2 bars and can usually watch youtube with little to no buffering. The Vosker 150 would not reliably connect or send pics to the app unless it was moved to an area with high signal strength. A trailcam with onboard SD cards that cost nothing to provide pictures of goings on around the property would be more useful. With the cheapest plan at $9/month, I don't find the Vosker a good value. The paid plans are also confusing. Tech support wasn't very helpful when trying to get it set up. The positive side- Seems pretty rugged. Left in the sun and even on cloudy days it stayed charged. If you have decent LTE signal, it does take good pictures that are sent through the app to your phone. App is easy to use. It's a good concept, with poor execution. I wouldn't recommend it.

Living out in the middle of nowhere has its perks. Having this camera on my property gives me piece of mind. It works very well and gets the job done. It was easy to set up and mount. The vosker app is easy to use as well. The resolution is ok, it gets the job done so I'm not super worried about image quality. I wish there an option for wifi, as the monthly plan isn't much but is yet another expense. Being solar powered, I like not having to worry about trenching out a conduit to the location of the camera. For the right person, this would be an exceptional trail cam.

Okay first I was super stoked that this thing was totally wireless, and it had it's own solar charger. Here's the good: 1. It's solar-charged 2.It's cellular 3. It also uses a MicroSD Card that it comes with Here's the bad: 1. The picture quality isn't that great. It's actually bad enough that if you tried to use it to identify a person it would be very difficult to get a great enough quality photo to post on social media. 2. It's not a reliable security camera as far as transmitting the photos to their server so you can view them on either your phone or computer. . 3. The cheapest plan is $10 a month. 4. This only does photos and time-lapse No video. Overall it's super easy to set up and use, let the battery charge for 24 hours and put it into the camera, insert the SD Card, follow the on App instructions, and you should be ready to go. If the camera is put up in a remote location and you're not worried about getting images right away then I would recommend this. However, if you need or want to know what happened all the time, then I would suggest something different.

I purchased this camera to monitor my hunting cabin in Northern Wisconsin. There was no electricity and it is several hours from my house. This camera was easy to set up and has performed great so far. The images are clear and they come right to my phone. Not having to replace batteries and not travel to check the SD Cards is worth the investment. I would reccomend this camera for sure.

Works as expected-Customer support could do better

Overall Works as expected, actually arrived right on time to see how it did in colder California weather. Sure it doesn’t compare to the cold temps for someone living in Wyoming or Idaho, but it did surprisingly well in sub 35°F and moderate to heavy rainfall. Timing on the camera and sensors are spot on as well. I’ve had a few surveillance cameras that had a delay and those motion activated alerts would usually be pointless. Resolution is perfect here too. I suspect if you placed one along the edge of a property line you should be able to get vehicle license plates. After charging the battery overnight as the manual calls for something like 12 hours prior to use, I set it up on a tree along the property line, roughly 5 feet from the property. And while I do not have it explicitly setup to test if I could get license plates, in most shots that a vehicle triggered the camera I can actually read off the numbers. A big portion to that would be attributed to a vehicle moving slowly along the street vs someone flying. Don’t expect to capture much past the speed limits of a parking lot however. My only gripe with this product, and why I personally would never come back to purchase this product in the future. Customer support is a headache. It’s probably an inaccurate assumption but it would seem support staff use scripts meant to attempt and sway you away from filing any claim on the product. On my first rodeo I received a camera that just didn’t work over the network. Worked for local photo capturing but that would mean you had to access the sd card any time you wanted to check on its captured photos. Support wanted to go through some troubleshooting on it such as charging the battery, format sd, factory reset, etc. None worked, which I was already 100% aware of as I went through the process of checking all of that beforehand including seeing the pictures it had taken prior. On a second exchange I extracted some data from the card for the logs and a config file. I couldn’t make to much out of the config but the log made mentions of the SIM card being unusable. It went further to label what seemed the bands the camera was trying to bind to, which the log would always return failure. I gave that info over to support but added that the carriers bands it makes mention of are in some syntax of some sort rather than plain text CDMA / GSM and included a small portion of the log in plain text email. The response to that was pretty generic and unhelpful. I then offered to send the entire log/config file so a dev, or someone with more knowledge, can decipher the issue with the camera but all I received was radio silence. Support went quite for about a week. I didn’t actually get anything back from them until I notified TIN of the issue. The next reply I did receive came from a higher up individual in what I assume is from management. I assume they escalated the issue and had it resolved in about a month or so Not too customer centric methodology if you ask me. I’d be genuinely curious to know how something like this would unfold if I was a normal customer and it was about warranty if I had failed prior to their warranty coverage. In any case, this is a brand I will avoid in the near future just how I avoid SP. 4 star product ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1 star support ⭐️ 2 stars overall ⭐️⭐️

This is a really cool camera! It is designed very well and is very easy to assemble and setup. Taking it out of the box and I really like the look of the camera. The instructions say to charge for 24 hours, so that's what I did. I installed the camera outside on my fence to monitor the backyard. The mounting hardware is very easy to put together and attach to wood. After mounting, I downloaded the Vosker app and setup the camera. This really is a breeze. Basically, just download and setup the app and scan the code. It's that simple. The camera does not use wifi, it uses a cellular network which requires a monthly fee. It comes with a 7 day trial. After the trial, we decided to forgo the plans and I just check and clear the sim card once a week. The camera performs well. The images are maybe not as crisp and clear as I would like, but they are good enough. The cheapest plan is $9/month and I am so tired of monthly fees, I can't bring myself to add another. That being said, if you are in a remote area and security is a serious concern, the fee would be worth it. I just want passive monitoring and am fine not paying.
