    Got this for the babys rooms and it works great! You’re able to use with or without wifi which is nice. Good Quality, great zoom, slight delay with feedback. Although that is expected since it’s wireless. Would recommend!

    I was looking for a dual system and found it! I didn’t want to use WiFi for privacy concerns but I also was afraid that without it I wouldn’t be able to use the system (we live in a 3 story townhouse). I haven’t had to use WiFi as of yet! Really impressed by this! Minor issues: I wish the monitor stayed charged longer But it’s an excellent product otherwise

    Good image, good features built-in, such as the camera colors that help at night, and the WiFi connectivity. The downside is where cameras often lose connection with the monitor, I’m taking this back to best by to apply warranty.

    The VTech Baby Monitor has been a good all-around setup to keep constant watch on our little boy. It replaced my makeshift systems using normal pan/tilt cameras and provided me with some proper baby monitoring features. After using it for a couple of weeks here’re the things I observed: Pros: The biggest feature I appreciated is, when I was in my I didn’t need to rely on my WiFi and internet connection to see the video stream. The 5” display can be used locally. Moreover, the 2 cameras can have different connectivity, which I thing increase privacy/security The 2 camera units came paired with the display/parent unit and it worked right out of the box. For busy new parents already going through a number of challenges at the beginning of child rearing, this is a subtle but really thoughtful way of design by VTech There’s a companion app (MyVTech Baby Plus) that helps with setting up, configuring and most importantly updating the unit. But the great thing is it’s not needed - basically I was able to use the cameras out of the box without even downloading the app The display is crisp and clear. And compared to some similar units I have seen, it is quite large Motion detection and especially notification is almost instantaneous - and that’s true for both the parent unit and while using the app. That’s not true for a lot of the other offerings. Especially when I was using a regular camera as a baby monitor I was getting notification with a lot of lag from time to time, by the VTech handles this gracefully There’s a temperature sensor built in, and based on my test with some non-contact thermometers, I found the reading quite consistent. This will never replace a true medical thermometer, but it’s a handy feature to know if the baby is getting too hot or too cold The app video quality can be chosen between both 720p (HD) and 1080p (Full HD), and I found both to be useful Split and petrol mode helped me to use both the cameras in a optimized manner The camera units have built in speaker which can be used to play music or just talk All the menus are designed well and can be figured out intuitively Night light is there with some lighting options that can create a soothing atmosphere when needed VTech will alert via email if they see a new login into the account. This is on top of 2-factor authentication which is a great security feature No issues with battery and range (tested in a 2400 sq ft two storey house) Cons: Power adapters not marked. Monitor needs 2A while the cameras need 1.5A, no needed some patient reading to figure out Uses 2.4GHz when used online (no support for 5 GHz WiFi) No sound alert for noise, only LED indicator switching among green, amber and red based on noise level. You can continuously hear the audio from the camera if you want No remote turn off feature for cameras Even with high motion sensitivity when the baby flipped or moved slightly, the motion alert didn't trigger Infrared night vision is weak. Either there’s a weak infrared light source or maybe there’s none, since when I used an external infrared light the sensing greatly improved. All in all I think this is a good combo system to have. It’s less frustrating compared to makeshift setups, or even some other monitor systems which I greatly appreciated being a new parent.

    Save your money and buy a different baby monitor! We've had these almost month and regret buying them. We bought these in store after we returned the VAVA two camera baby monitor set because the VAVA monitor stopped charging and they weren't available in store. We had purchased the Geek Squad 2-Year Replacement Plan for these (VAVA) and that's how we were able to return it nine months later. My husband works from home and takes care of our one year old son so we needed new cameras right away and this was the only two camera and monitor set they had in store so we bought it. One camera started losing signal about two weeks ago. We kept having to reset it, unplug then plug it back in to get the signal back. The signal wouldn't last very long and disconnect 10-20 minutes later. The second camera started losing signal yesterday leaving my husband without a way to monitor our son while he's in his crib or in the living room. We live in a two bedroom apartment and my husband uses the second bedroom as his office. The cameras should not be losing signal in a 920 sq ft apartment. Also, when I bought this at check out I asked the employee to add the 2-Year Replacement Plan and he explained to me Best Buy is no longer offering that. Instead they're offering yearly memberships with different benefits. When I asked him if something happens to this new baby monitor a year from now, could I return it with this new membership. He said yes. Come to find out yesterday when I logged into my Best Buy account it says this item is no longer returnable which makes no sense because we bought it on July 16, 2023 and today is August 15, 2023. We paid an extra $50 for a membership because he made us believe the protection plan was included but now we learned it's not?!?! I really, really hope we're able to return these useless baby monitors because they're definitely not worth the price.

    It was great for traveling as it does not require wifi and has a stand alone screen. However, after a few months month cameras disconnected and will only reconnect for a few minutes. Honestly, I will probably just buy this same one again with the protection plan.

    We’re on the THIRD attempt to have a functioning Vetch that lasts more than a couple of months. Thank goodness for Geek Squad. The image is great, but that’s about it. Kept losing its connection and I’m talking camera to monitor, not even the app. The app is horrible. Second unit (they didn’t have the same model we bought and gave us the newer version), didn’t have a clock on the display anymore. Fine, as long as it works. It didn’t. Connectivity issues again then the display decided to go on a rebooting loop until it drained its battery (we couldn’t even turn it off!). On unit 3 now and we shall see. I miss our summer infant monitor that lasted us over three years! Why did they stop making them!!

    Recommend for moms I use one in the bed room and one in the living room! I absolutely love it and even when I am not home I can check on the baby through the app on my mobile device!
