Cam yes app no
Love the camera and have 0 issues with connection etc the app though stinks if you are looking to go back through events . I like to be able to see when my son got out of bed the night before and it 98% says the file is unavailable.however I don’t ever have issues remoting in live on my phone , I could connect while I was in the airport in Florida . If you don’t care about WiFi connection and the video recall then it’s 5 stars , but since this feature is buggy I deducted one star . Snapshot feature is fun and works great you can snap video recordings but again it’s just the recall feature that sucks .

Baby monitor a must buy gadget
Great baby monitor ! I work from home and this was an incredible finding . I can be at meetings feeling very confident that my girl is sleeping in her room. Clear picture and I also can watch her from my iPad. A lot of features.

So far great
I have purchase 4 of these in last two years. They come very handy for me as a single mother when they are still fully functioning.

Waste of money
This camera is significantly worse compared to its predecessor. We had the 1 camera Vtech unit from a previous generation and it worked great. It had great picture quality and no connection issues. The 2 camera set up has been horrible. It loses connection in the middle of the night and we have to go into our child’s room to reset the camera constantly. Also, the “direct” connection feature doesn’t work. I can be right outside of the room and the parent unit won’t connect to the camera. Waste of money and would advise anyone to look at a different product.

A Parenting Peace of Mind
Before I opened the box, I had several security cameras and I thought they were good enough. After a few days with this unit, I completely changed my mind. What's in the box: 2 cameras, 5" monitor, charger, mounts with screws and drywall anchors, and Velcro strips for cable organization Installation: Easy with a small drill. I drilled 2 holes, placed the anchors, lightly hammered them in, placed the screws in with a little room to spare, hung the mounts, then screwed them tightly in, installation was very straightforward, took about 20 minutes for both cameras. The mounts have a tightening screw where you can adjust the camera angle up and down, surprisingly smooth installation. Cameras: The 2 cameras have a HD color mode when there's adequate lighting and a night mode when necessary. Cameras have adequate resolution in color, at night it can be a little choppy but adequate. I was able to pan right to left, up and down with both the app and the smart monitor. They are also equipped with a large night light that's adjustable for different colors through the smart monitor, colors seemed to be the perfect brightness for the room, seems like it would be perfect for a toddler too. There's a high zoom that you can adjust through the app or smart monitor if you need to zoom in for more detail. The smartphone monitor: This is what really sets this apart from your typical security cameras. The monitor has a 5" screen with volume and zoom adjustment. There's a menu button where you can select cameras, split the screen between both cameras, or put the cameras in patrol mode There's a nightlight that can be set to 10 different color settings, adjusted for brightness, or placed on a timer. There's a setting for melodies and soothing sounds. We tried all of them and our baby prefers to have these sounds on to go to sleep versus a quiet room. He literally fell asleep the first two times we put music or sounds on. There's also a temperature read on the monitor for each camera which is great in the summer or winter, or if you're like me and don't realize the room is gradually getting uncomfortable. You can set alerts for sounds, motion, or temperature. You can also turn the smart monitor off and still hear sounds if you want. The battery seemed to last most of the day and charged very quickly. Overall, this is just an exceptional design for new parents. Performance: Camera resolution was good, not great. I never lost connection once to my monitor or cameras. I found myself using the sounds, nightlights and basic camera functions. The resolution was good enough that I didn't use zoom often, but I can see how you might want to use it in a larger room. The smart monitor just had a ton of features. Before using this system I thought that a typical smart security camera was enough, but now I see I was missing out on a ton of features such as sounds, nightlights, and temperature. It's also nice to view from a smart monitor rather than pick up my phone and find the app. However, I did use the smartphone app from work when I was away from home and wanted to check on mother and baby and it basically lets you choose the camera, view and zoom, not much else, but it serves its general purpose. Nightlights work great and are kind of fun to play with. Camera mounts were sturdy and stable. In my opinion, these are much better than a basic security camera because of the features that you can use to monitor your child. I would highly recommend it for a baby or toddler. One of these cameras will cover an entire room so you can put one in 2 different rooms or you could put one on the crib or bassinet and the other to monitor a different part of the room once your child is moving around. I'm sure there might be an occasional glitch as you often see with most technology but I didn't have any, not one. Everything just worked here. The only slightly negative thing I could say is if the room lighting is low during the day the resolution isn't 1080 but it's more than adequate day and night. If you're considering a baby monitor, I would highly recommend this unit to all of my friends and family. I feel like they put a lot of thought into design and features. Two Thumbs up here!
