It does what I expected it do. It rings. and it makes calls. If you remember the days of landline which I still have, I recommend this unit. However,I'm not a fan of red.

Had cordless phones in the home in the past. Eventually went back to a 25' corded phone. Thought that was suffice. However, the phone base was across the room and every time it rang, I had to get up from where ever I was and rush to catch it. Not so good. Decided to go back to a cordless phone. Went to Best Buy and in the very back corner of the store is where I found the phones displayed. Obviously most folks use cell phones exclusively. I hope for my sake that the manufacturers still produce the cordless phones for those of us that still desire a land line phone in the home. Phone is OK, but at first when I was pushing the "play, repeat, delete" button I was having issue. It is one button that pivots to each option. I thought I needed to push it hard to get it to engage. I was having problems and was on the verge of returning it. Then I realized this button is super sensitive and it only takes a very light touch to engage the option you want. So now, I am good with it. It was a $39 phone with answering machine built in. So for the money, I am happy with product. This is not the first Vtech product I have had in my lifetime. Just keep offering inexpensive cordless phones for those of us in need of them.

I purchased this phone during the holiday for my neighbor who desperately needed an upgrade and they fell in love with the phone. The charging ability, cordless free and the performance of the phone is worth the price.

This VTech model has a very dim light. It would be a very good phone if it had better lighting. This phone is not for you if you don’t have very good eyesight to see who is calling.

Didn't want a land line but it came with "Triple Play". This phone come at the right price and has all of the features that you could possibly need. It has proven to be a very good purchase!

I bought this phone for my parents after realizing a corded phone was no longer an option for them. It has an answering machine and is easy to use. You can also link other phones to it if necessary.

It does the job! The volume is loud and clear. It's perfect for old people with hearing loss...

I understand in a world of cell phones now but we do still enjoy having a clear and "no delay" conversation with others. We have been using Vtech phone now for about 12 yrs and this is our 2nd phone, meaning the first one last 12 years and that is putting up with teenagers, drops, spills, and makeup. The other vtech needed a replacement battery somewhere in there but was a great phone. This product is very simple and has clear directions. The receiver has a mute feature as does the handest which is nice. Feel and buttons are sturdy. Mic and speaker do well and we don't use the answering machine. Great cheap by for a back up to the cell phone and would highly recommend if you still use a land line.
