This request reawakened my aggravation with this product and the difficulties I encountered getting it to function in a minimally reasonable fashion. Geek Squad, my phone system reps, and the manufacturer reps themselves could not easily explain or "fix" message recording system. After my last complaints, one of these factors did "fix" it somehow--I can now remotely access messages, but the actual message system on the base of the primary phone does not work at all. The only positive comment I can make is I like the color combination.

My only recommendation is, that although it came with a long landline connector, we kept and are using the short one from our previous phone. It is wall mounted at the location of the phone jack, so it really only needed to be 3-4" long.
