I didn't need anything "fancy", as I just needed a basic Cordless Phone/Answering Machine for a plain single phone line. The price is right on this unit (got it on sale as well) and it works really well and is very well designed. It's very comfortable to use, has lots of nice features and the "digital" answering machine function is nice (my old answering machine needed mini-cassette tapes...ugh). This has a nice "small footprint" so it doesn't take up a lot of space and it works very well. Very happy with the overall performance of this unit!

They were price right for me so I got them. They are light weight but I didn't mind the cheap build feel. But the sound on these VTech phones had terrible voice quality for others and I had a feed back humming noise on calls . So much so I had to return them.

Try installing your phone as far away as possible from these types of electronic devices. If this does not help, please contact our Consumer Sales and Service Center between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday at 1-800-595-9511.

It can only be used when within a few feet of the cradle-dropped calls are common-may be our provider's issue and not the phone, but it would be nice to be able to use it in several rooms of the house.
