I bought this because I needed to replace an old phone and an answering machine that died. This phone did that job. There was a problem a couple of weeks after I installed the phone; we lost dial tone for about a day, and the phone company blamed the problem on that phone. If it happens again, I will not be so glowing..

It works well, but it allows announcements to be made without picking up the receiver and it also sounds the dial tone without the handset be off the hook.

this item is very functional as you can use the cordless handset as an individual phone when you are outside, in basement or other areas not convenient to using regular phone just remember to keep it within the allotted distance for usage. I have so enjoyed the ease and great reception you get with this item, would get again if needed

The phone itself is fine. Good sound, which is why I got it. The controls are NOT intuitive and months later, I’m still trying to figure some basics out. Also, the choice of ringers is horrible.

This is a great phone and easily to set up. Playing back calls are loud and clear. I just wish the call display window was lit with a blue light, the white light was hard to see the call telephone numbers. But it could be my eyes, I do wear glasses.

The phone works well but I found that it has too many features for my 95 year old mother to manage. She can't remember to put the wireless phone back in the charger which cause the phones not to function. The wall phone she manages so I may just not put the wireless set out since it confuses her.
