    So far, so good

I’ll preface this by saying I never thought I would need a stylus with an iPad. I had the 4th gen until last year and then replaced it with a 5th gen (2017) non-Pro since we simply didn’t have the budget to afford a Pro. I love my iPad, but lately have been doing more manual note taking and PDF annotation which hasn’t always been so great, especially with my horrible penmanship! I was not able to take advantage of the great trade-in deal when the 2018 came out so the Apple Pencil was not an option. After a lot of reading and watching of YouTube videos I decided to try the Wacom Bamboo Slimline 3. I am not an artist and don’t need anything for drawing or digital art. I just wanted something to make note taking a little easier when I am not using my keyboard or if I want to annotate or take notes on a pdf. I picked this up this morning and have been playing with it most of the day. So far, it more than meets my needs and expectations for note taking using GoodNotes 4 and the Bamboo Paper apps. Palm rejection is working fairly well and I like the feel of the stylus as I write. I also used GoodNotes to import a pdf of a study guide we are using for church and taking notes on it was great! Overall, I am pleased. It is not the same experience as the Pencil and for use of the Bluetooth features it requires a compatible app, but it meets my particular needs. If you have an older iPad and can’t afford an upgrade, this stylus is great option for handwritten notes and pdf annotating. I can't comment on its use for art (I’ll let the kids try later) since I can’t even draw a stick figure with pen and paper, but as a writing option on the iPad I am happy.

Wonderful functional aesthetics, as the stylus tip can be rolled out or tucked back in (like a pen). Also has a clip to attach to ur device or wherever. But my main two concerns were: 1. The stylus skips while in use. So only partial sentences are apparent. I had to go back to fill-in where it didn’t register originally. This doesn’t work for the average note taker who doesn’t have the time to rewrite words or sentences. 2. You can only use it with particular apps. Outside those apps it’s useless. Made me feel bad about paying that price for something that cannot be utilized as often as I would like. So I ended up returning this item before the return policy didn’t allow. Give it a go, if you so desire. Just be sure u purchase it from a vendor with a good return policy...just in case.

Please note, this Fineline Stylus Black CS610CK works on my Android Phone (Samsung S8 -- T-mobile network phone) It pairs via Bluetooth (charge the stylus for 2+ hours, then turn it on, press button on pen until blue light flases) Then scan with Samsung S8 Bluetooth ON RESULT: my S8 phone found, connected, and uses this stylus perfectly! 1. I use this Bluetooth connected stylus with my Samsung S8 and my iPad! It works great on my Samsung S8 Phone 2. I bought a second --> Wacom Bamboo Fineline Stylus Black CS610CK (3rd generation) just for my SAMSUNG S8 Android Phone!!!!!!!!!! RESULT: For me, it is a LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy it works for both devices. Purchased in June, 2017: Wacom Bamboo Fineline Stylus Black CS610CK (says 3rd generation on bottom of box near UPC/Barcode) - Purchased @ Best Buy.

I wanted a pen for my IPAD Air so I was disappointed there wasn't one. So I bought this instead to add personalized graphics and writing on pdf's and to take notes just as with IPAD Pen. This pen looks like the Bamboo fineline 3 but the box doesn't say that it is. But It doesn't look like the regular Bamboo fineline original or number 2. Following the directions for set up never got it to sync properly, so I just used it as it was. Its a great paint tool if you want to buy extra brushes and functionality but not too great for note taking. My writing is illegible no matter whether I rest my hand on the screen or not. It is not that easy to use nor are there many apps to work with unless you buy extra stuff.

Bought this with $5 discount from BB, base on some review it performed well but only on their Bamboo apps. Using it on Windows is quite a challenge when writing words however sketching is fine. Likewise with I iPad pro the same issue even with their Bamboo apps. Writing on notes is not as smooth as writing on paper and pencil. I don't use it on sketching and more on jotting notes here and there which this is lacking/missing in someway. I rarely use their Bamboo apps either maybe it's all there but haven't done so much on that. There you have it, performance review.

The pen works okay, the battery is really good and hold up for long use but my main gripe about it is that it doesn’t not write as smoothly as it draws. My mother is a painter and she gave the pen a shot and she said it’s okay but the second I use it for school I write a word and it seems to jump around a little making it really hard to complete certain letters. If you plan on using this product for simple browsing and leisure drawing it’s pretty good for the money but the Apple Pen will have more feedback and with work seamlessly with the iPad. My main use is for a college student. Hope this helps you guys out!

I bought an iPad Pro for notes and eTexts for my college classes. A lot of my classes allow me to takes notes on my iPad making it easier to keep my notes together. I needed a new stylus and remember reading that this one worked with iPad and iPhone. It was easy to setup and I was on my way to writing notes on my iPad. Another benefit that I did not expect was I used it with my HP Envy x360 laptop. To my surprise, it worked!! I was able to use it to write!! I tried it with OneNote and as long as you go to the Draw tab, click Draw with Finger, it'll work!

Really enjoy this stylus. It writes smoothly, and I feel like I have good control of where I am placing my writing. I use it on an iPad Mini 4 and have had no issues with hand drag on many apps. The battery lasts a significant amount of time. My only complaint is that the lid covering the charging slot was tricky to open and flimsy, as it broke after after my second or third time opening it. This does not affect the function of the pen, just the charge slot is always exposed.

so-so. Palm rejection is alright, skips quite a bit; no matter which app it’s paired with & I’ve tried them all. Possibly works well with other IPads but I wouldn’t recommend using this stylus with the Ipad Mini 2. The bamboo Ink (which unfortunately doesn’t pair with Apple products) has a much finer tip than this pen.. knowing that info made this one all the more annoying to use! Clunky af. It does charge quickly though, ..so there’s always that!

So, it connects by bluetooth, which is a great idea but that makes it only compatible with one item at a time. Also, you have to tap the screen pretty hard for it to work properly. I would strongly suggest that users have a screen protector when using this product. I wanted a firm-tip stylus that would work with Apple products but this doesn't do any better than the soft tips, and it runs out of juice and has to be charged. It's a great idea, just not for me. I'd like to have something like the UPS drivers... so if anyone has advice, I'm all for it.

Best of it's class, not as accurate as Pencil

I've tried all the Bamboo stylus for iPad since the first generation. This 3rd gen Fineline has the best form factor among all. In terms of accuracy, it's pretty much the same accuracy as Fineline 2nd gen on the iPad Air 2. If you want to compare to iPad Pro series, forget it, since Fineline is designed to mimic fingers, so the latency is depending on the iPad touch hardware. You can never compare any stylus for non iPad Pro with the Pencil in terms of accuracy. Pencil is the best, but it is also the most expensive. If you have iPad Pro, use Pencil. Else, Fineline 3rd Gen

So, I got this for the 5th Gen ipad. This was a while back so HOPEFULLY this has all been updated. At the time there were maybe 3-4 apps you could use this with but they were all wacom apps. With the apps you COULD use this with it was super smooth. Outside of those apps at the time it was useless. Hopefully it has been updated since. If you're a huge wacom apps fan I say go for it, if not. I would steer clear.

If you want your writing to be remotely legible, do not buy this! I purchased it 6 months ago and maybe used a month before my patience ran out. The tip often goes back in the unit so you will constantly need to stop, twist, and get the tip out to write. After 6 months, the pen came apart in the middle and eventually snapped as I twisted the unit to get the stylus tip out for the last time.

Purchased to use with iPad Air 2. Works pretty well with apps I'm using on, but occasionally has connection issues. I thinks it's when battery is low. So my issue with it is doesn't appear to be an indication when battery is low. Also, directions indicate stylus main need to have firmware updated and iPad app it says to download for this doesn't exist. However, it is a much finer point than most stylus, so that feature is very beneficial.

I got this to use with my IPad Pro for work. I love the pen stylus for my surface and wanted the same capabilities (basic for taking notes and marking up pdf plans). This worked ok for one day and then stopped after that. I could never get it to pair with the IPad and it became completely useless (which was frustrating since a best buy employee recomended it for what my needs were). I ended up returning it and getting an Apple Pencil.

It seems to be a good stylus if you want a product that will actually work when used. However, this was purchased for an art program that required precision and detail, which it did not deliver. It does eventually do what you need it to faster than a less expensive stylus, but the lag and lack of precision is still an issue. For the price, you should expect the pride of owning a high end stylus, but I really don't think you are buying much more.

I have an iPad Air 2. I want to be able to draw. This stylus does the trick! It works with several apps on the iPad and it's fairly accurate. I say fairly because it isn't the Apple Pencil which is the most accurate stylus. Sadly, it won't work on a non-Pro iPad. Buy this stylus. You have two weeks to try it out. If you don't like it, return it. But I think you'll end up keeping it. Enjoy!

Of all the other ones I have tried, I like this one the best. Best If it is use on a non iPad Pro and use with the bamboo app, and also works well with the good notes app. I recently got the Apple Pencil for my iPad Pro and it's the best. I like the fact that I can use with my iPhone 7 plus. The Apple Pencil doesn't work with iPhone. Battery last forever, however I'm a medium user not a heavy user. But it doesn't take long to charge.

I have an Apple Pencil that I love however I was looking for a secondary stylus that wasn't white and had a clip on it. (The only shortcomings to Apple Pencil in my opinion) The Bamboo Fineline is an adequate writing instrument however the battery life is lacking, ergonomics are clumsy and it couldn't match the speed at which the Apple Pencil operates. My 2 cents - just spend the extra 20 bucks and get the real thing.

I bought this because my son needed a pen type stylus for his two in one laptop. He uses it for drawing as well as a regular laptop. This product was the only one the store had, and I needed it for a Christmas present. I wasn't happy about the price, but it is a very good product. I wish it had a tracking device on it though, I am afraid my son will lose it and will have to shell out another $60 for a new one
