|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wacom One tablet is a good drawing tablet that can be pretty handy with the right applications. The Wacom One measures 13.3 inches diagonally, but the footprint is much larger, with a 1inch bezel all around. Aesthetically, its not too bad, although I suspect the large bezel is more beneficial for drawing since it gives more space to operate as opposed to an all screen design. It has a matte screen with a full 1920x1080p display. It doesn't support the full color gamut unfortunately. It's rated at 200 nits, has 93% sRGB, 71% Adobe RGB, 2.3 gamma, 6400k, 0.28 black level, 690:1 contrast ratio and has a 26ms response time. Also, this unit does NOT have touchscreen capabilities. I kept forgetting that and wanted to touch the screen to no avail. It comes with a proprietary HDMI/USB-A/USB-C cable for a fully tethered connection to either a Mac or PC. I'm currently using this with my 16" MacBook Pro and it performs flawlessly. The cable itself is a little long and stiff, which can get frustrating when I need to move the tablet around. I suggest having it stationary on your desk to prevent cable crimping and coils (I prefer to use it on my lap while tethered to my computer). One thing to note---this tablet does not run without being connected to the computer via HDMI. It cannot be used as a stand alone tablet. Its not only just for drawing apps, but editing pictures as well. I use it to edit photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. Its great since all the tools are compatible with the Pen as well as offering more intuitive controls that aren't available without the tablet. It really takes editing to a whole new level of customization. Another nice feature I like about the included pen is its battery free! It doesn't ever need to be plugged in or charged, effectively allowing you to use it all day. It may not be designed to be used as a media consumer, but I like mirroring my screen to watch Disney+ and Netflix shows while I do other tasks on my MacBook. You simply drag your window off screen and it mirrors to the tablet flawlessly. Its nice to pass time writing a report while watching movies on the Wacom. Overall, not a bad offering from Wacom. Price, build quality, features and performance are all above average at this level. Keep them coming Wacom!
