It hadn't appeared to have been opened previously, so I'm unsure why it was not included like it says it should be.

Even though my wife has never cut hair before, she used these to cut mine, and it looked as good as my usual barber shop cut. I just get a buzz cut, but was surprised how even it came out. This set comes with a very nice set of blade guards.
