Well.....long story short. I despise these clippers. They are not worth the hype & does not cut hair well. I'm only being kind giving this product 1 star. Unfortunately, I waited too late to test them & couldnt return due to the return window being closed. Do yourself a favor & invest in something else, possibly more expensive.

I have nappy hair and using this to shave my beard is so painful, I use my 10 year old set of clippers If I bled, I'd sue

The smaller one requires batteries, but he bigger one doesn't. I purchased this product in hopes of using it to shave my head but it didn't do the trick.
