    I bought this to go with a Ring camera for my mums bird table. Easy to set up and install with a couple of screws, and after a month so far the camera is still at 100% power. Im sure it may go down a little in winter, time will tell.

    I bought this to keep the battery charged so I wouldn't have to get my ladder out to remove the battery every time to charge it. It works very well

  • Doesn't hold a charge during the cold season!

    These solar panels where good up until the cold season kicked in after that they would not hold a charge. I contacted the manufacturer and did what they recommended to do and charged up the panels but that didn't make a difference. i recommend buying the actual Ring Solar panels not these knock offs

      Please ensure you have done the following:

      1. Unplug and reinsert the solar panel charging cable. Make sure that the connection is snug tight.
      2. Make sure that your solar panel is placed in maximum sunlight exposure and is not obstructed by trees, buildings, or other obstacles.
      3. Make sure that your camera is not in temperatures below freezing. For safety reasons, your camera battery cannot charge in temperatures below 32°F (0° C).
      4. Keep the battery of your camera at 100% prior to connecting it to the solar panel. Note that the Solar Panel is designed to provide trickle charging to keep your camera battery charged, not to charge your camera battery from low to full.
      5. Reduce your camera usage for a day or two and note your camera’s battery level. Heavy usage of your camera can drain the camera battery faster than the solar panel can recharge it, especially with poor sun exposure.

      Please also note that unlike any other cameras, when using a solar panel, Ring won't show whether it’s charging or not. If there is high traffic, it consumes more power, so you might think it’s not charging at all.

    I installed this panel in plain view, plenty of sun light. Never charged my batteries on my spot light cam. I would suggest buying Rings version because this 1 just doesn't get the job done!
