Gold Edition is the better option!

Definitely worth getting the Gold Edition now instead of the standard, as you get more characters and even another game on top of it! I managed to play this on my older Xbox One from 2015 without much issue or any memory problems I have been told about. The story is interesting, and the game itself is nice. It's not going to rank higher than the previous titles, but having the Gold Edition gives you the option to play as Wrench or Aiden Pierce in your playthroughs with their respective dialogue.
Do definitely play the Bloodline DLC first, tho! It's before the events of this game, and it actually has protagonists you get to know and show emotions as you play as them! Legion's "play as anyone" is neat, but you don't get attached much to the story, as you don't follow a protagonist's goal. The permadeath mode can probably change that view, but I haven't tried that yet.
All and all, I am enjoying the game, especially since I can play it on my Xbox One, and I do have the option to upgrade the game to a newer Xbox when that time comes. The four DLC characters are great with their respective voices in the environments of London, and the addition of the full Watch Dogs 1 game is really, really nice to have!
I'd say give it a shot! You may enjoy it like the other two titles. Maybe :)

Watch Dogs ha been one of my favorite Ubisoft titles for a long time. This game is a good transition into the open world game play everyone exists but I think they focused to much on it in this game. It's awesome to be able to explore most of London and the surrounding but I feel it makes the story go a bit slow.
Overall this game looks awesome, even just on Xbox one X, and the story is always an awesome take on how big tech could take advantage of the people and the people can learn to fight back.
I usually get the gold edition because of the extra perks and the season pass but you might be able to be a few dollars cheaper if you buy the regular edition and then the season pass but personally I wouldn't go through all that work for less than $5.

Despite the small portion of people giving whack reviews (these are people whom have admitted they have never been to London or know a thing about the UK whatsoever so hardly a relaible source/review) This game has the voices and actors dialog to a simple and pure perfection. The taboo, bad language shows Britain at its finest when everyone is angry and under pressure. The scenery and complete accuracy of Londons fine details and atmosphere is fantastic and the time taken to get the London districts absolutely spot on is what really brings this game to life. The story is fun, witty, brutally honest and very unique in its own way flowing bewteen seriousness and quick witty banter and careless joy in missions in character attitudes. (heard some lines in this game I have never heard in another before) it hold no bars it is fast paced and look forward to the furture DLC and online modes to come. Good job Ubisoft. I also have a small idea for the gameplay if there's a way to hit you with my ideas as a fellow Britt myself.

This game is awesome, I find myself playing it and not wanting to stop. My kids have even been playing it and love it. The puzzles and missions are challenging and fun.

This was a Christmas gift from 2019 that was pre-ordered and delayed until finally releasing in October 2020. My girlfriend's son was elated to finally get the game and has been smiling ever since opening his package after the long wait. The game is fun and everything it was cracked up to be. I suggest any gamer help save London.

Watch Dogs Legion is a fun and a game with an original concept; that concept being that you can play as any NPC in the game which is insane to think about; I highly recommend to play with permadeath it can really make the game interesting.

I played it on the base xbox one, it performed alright but it crashed several times.
Feels like the lack of central character hurts the story.
I would recommend if I knew the friend was interested in the series

Great game. Lots of fun open world. You can recruit any npc to your team, offering a variety of different skills. This opens up new and fun abilities. Pretty cool representation of London.
