Watchdogs was probably the most hyped game in the history of hyping games. In development for over 5 years, presented to the public for three of those, it was hard for the PR machine not to hype the game. The problem with that is it grew too big for its own shoes, and when it finally released to the public many saw it as a let down. Personally, I was not disappointed in this game in the slightest. Yes, they graphically downgraded it compared to previous versions shown at E3 2 years ago, but the game is far from ugly. While it is lacking that next gen feel, the graphics are not a disappointment unless you really just want something to complain about. The rain effects are very impressive, there are moments when the day/night cycle can be jaw droppingly beautiful, the cars are modeled beautifully, and the character models are very well done. There are occasionally framerate dips after mission completion, but nothing game breaking. Sound quality could have been better, some cars sound excellent, some you can barely hear. The chatter from NPCs on the streets of Chicago is well written with splashes of humor everywhere, though the audio does suffer if you're the type to play with a headset, the voice-overs don't sound like they are blended into the game audio very well, its more like 2 separate audio feeds overlaid on one another, but again, a minor complaint there. The gameplay is solid, hacking CTOS objects never gets old, shooting mechanics are tight, missions are fun and do a good job of keeping things fresh, the side missions are varied and interesting, even the mini games and digital trips are worth going back for. Many people complain about the driving mechanics, but honestly they aren't that bad. It takes a second to get used to, but once you stop trying to go around every corner at maximum acceleration you'll enjoy it much more. I liked the game initially, but it wasn't until I put the camera in the cockpit and drove around the map for 2 hours that i really appreciated just how well built the game is. It may not be the full next gen experience we were "promised," but Watchdogs does not disappoint. Try it for yourself, I highly recommend it.

Okay so I like this game a lot. The driving mechanics annoyed me at first but I got the hang of it, [which also depend on the handling of the vehicle one it using]. I had a couple people tell me the game is terrible, but honestly I like it. Many say the game does not live up to the hype, but I suppose that depends who you listen to. The storyline is relatively original and the game mechanics are rather unique in terms of the whole concept of hacking into electronics. Vehicle handling is something to get used to, but it is possible. The map, itself, is rather large and there are many optional side missions to do if one wants to take a break from the main story, so that is a plus. Besides playing the game itself, my favorite part of it is going around in the game and pointing out the differences between Chicago and the one in Watch_Dogs, mainly because it is funny to me. Such as looking at the Bean [also known as Cloud Gate], or seeing the "L" train maps in the game. While this game is no GTA, it does have a similar concept to it. But I feel that anyone who enjoys the former will possibly like this one as well. In other words: It's a fun game.

So this game is about a Hacker, by the name of Aiden Pierce, who is trying to track down the person who put a hit on him which resulted the death of his niece. The game is fun but the driving can use a little tweaking. The thing that I don't like about this game is the fact that we can't buy any attachment to our guns like in Far Cry 3. I sure would of loved to put scopes and suppressors on my weapons as I lean more toward the silent killer type. But overall the game is purty fun.

Not a good game, couldn't get more then an hour into it and then realized I just lost an hour of my life. Tries to hard to be grand theft auto and has a boring story where you don't fall in love with the characters.

As soon as I started playing this game, I was impressed. The graphics are amazing. The gameplay is so fun and creative. It's like a meld between GTA and Assassin's Creed. The only bad part is you can't blind fire from cover or fire while driving. The game is great though. I love the emotion of the story line. I'm already fully invested in Aiden and the story.

Many will compare this game to GTA V but truth be told this game surpasses it. Problem with GTA was a weak story and rather a lot of disjointed areas in the game caused by it being both a sandbox game and also having 3 main characters. Watch Dogs however keeps the story interesting and adds a new hacking ability that makes you play in entirely new ways. The only lull I had in playing was the fixer contracts which are optional but a good chunk of the side mission content. Overall 5/5 and a must buy!

I was blown away how NEXT GEN it looked. This was before a time before the XBOX ONE / PS4 was announced. I saw next gen and it was beautiful. Now that it's almost a year after it's release. Can I say that Watch Dogs lived up to it's hype? Kinda, it is a very fun game and looks pretty, but wasn't blown away like I was anticipating.

As soon as I received the game I placed it in my PS4 system and it couldn't read the disc. Once I took a look at the disc there were scratches on it. L

I played this game yesterday before going to bed (played about 2 hours) and overall I was okay with the game. I love these types of games that replicate an actually city where you can drive anywhere do anything and whenever you want to do it (like GTA). I would have liked to be more interested in the story line but so far no luck (may change after some time) but I feel like I can compare it more to Sleeping dogs as the play was cool but wasn't interested in it once I beat it. Overall good game to play and beat. Not a great game to play, beat, and keep as I will probably be selling this back once I beat. I would have probably given it 5 stars prior to playing GTA 5 but there wasn't a "wow" factor in this game after playing GTA 5.

Solid open world game that gives you lots of activities to do on the map of Chicago. I had lots of fun, and the platinum trophy is relatively straightforward to achieve for you trophy hunters out there (the only difficult trophy is the drinking game challenge, which requires exceptional hand-eye coordination). There is the main campaign, which is very lackluster in its storytelling. Then there are lots of side missions involving hacking into home security systems, vehicle races, taking down gang hideouts and criminal convoys, finding QR codes hidden on the sides of buildings, etc. There are even augmented reality mini-games and other stuff like poker and chess to offer more variety. With the game offering a constant progression of unlockable rewards and upgrades for everything you do in the world, I found I got the most enjoyment and spent most of my playtime doing side stuff rather than the weak campaign. For only $10, you can't go wrong with Watch Dogs.

I really like this game as it is really fun and different than any other game as you can hack different things in the game. The missions are really fun and entertaining. Yes it does get a bit repetitive and the map is not very big, but it will do. Its really fun having a friend online and just doing whatever. I really like the driving and the combat in as it is very fluid. I know some people don't like the driving in it, but it just depends on what you like. The story was pretty good, but the side mini games to me were kind of pointless and weird. I have owned the game for quite some time and I haven't played it in awhile as I kind of got a bit bored of it. I bought the season pass so I need to finish that up. It just seemed like Ubisoft forgot about this game after the game and season pass were released.

playing this game for 2 hours i thought its a good game but it makes me bored...!!!

My personal experience with this game is as I expected.Since I've played the next gen version of this game I have more to review about it including the next gen exclusive online free roam mode which I will get more in detail later. Story Aiden Peirce a hacker who is obsessed with watching his family ever since Lena Peirce (his niece) died In a car accident, Ever since that moment he was struggling to get back on his feet, But not only he was effected Niky Pierce and Jackson Peirce was also heartbroken too. I"ve felt that the campaign was deep including the ending which I wont spoil for you the main mission count is 39 and over 100 side missions alone I give this game a 8.5/10 the game is not exactly perfect though some bugs do occur throughout the game.

Not for everyone .. If you like grand theft you might like this game but doubt it

Watchdogs is a game that excels in game play, but does not immerse the player in the story. The story is rather dull and unimaginative. Many will have seen a story that involves a story of tragedy, where the main character will go after an antagonist. Whom of which has previously ruined some part of his/her life. But although the story itself is not wowing, the game play is nothing short of excellent. You can really enjoy yourself in this open world version of Chicago. The AI is impressive and really immerses you in the beauty and game play rich environment that is at the heart of Watchdogs. I would recommend this to anyone who has imagination, and is simply looking to have a good time.
