TL;DR: Many say it doesn't hold up to the hype, and that may be true, but I'm having way more fun than a lot of reviews said I would. I usually wait a few weeks before purchasing a new game. Like many, I don't have the disposable income to throw at any game that tickles my fancy, and want to hear what the world at large has to say for newer titles (sans favorite franchises ALA Far Cry). I watched the development of Watch Dogs from the beginning, and fell into the old trap of setting my bar too high far too soon. I haven't awaited a game this eagerly since GTA V was announced. Then the release, followed by the inevitable backlash. "It's derivative sans the hacking aspect; hacking gets boring quickly and isn't as well implemented as it should be; I wanted a smarter game and got GTA with smartphones; etcetera". The reviews were a big let down. I really, really wanted to pick this up out the gate and delve into a deep and satisfying new world. Everything I heard seemed to point to a big old "meh". And yet there was a nice gift card about to expire, and nothing else I was particularly interested in out, so I took the plunge. And I'm glad I did. Watch Dogs is much more rewarding than I was expecting, based on big name reviews. All of the characters, big and small, NPC and pivotal, are alive and well acted (though I admit Aiden really is another gruff-voiced-white-vengeance. It's been hard to get attached to him). Hacking can be a bit derivative, but it's never stopped me from enjoying it. Watch Dogs feels a lot to me like Sleeping Dogs, in so much that I find both incredibly entertaining (enough that I bought Sleeping twice after switching consoles), with just the right amount of an arcade feel to keep it from trying to hit the uncanny valley, but largely ignored or put down by those who just don't fit into that smaller ratio of realism-to-ridiculous antics.

It's a fun experience altogether but this game needs refinement. I expect more attention to details from a game on PS4/XB1. The graphics are poor... Considering how good other PS4 games have been looking. The driving feel is very bland. I expected something closer to what GTA4/5 driving feels like. And the controls are ridiculously twitchy. The game is fun though - Lots to do away from the main missions. The gun-fighting is excellent. Very fun, doesn't feel like a chore. Voice-acting is good, but cut scene animations/graphics are lacking. General gameplay is great. Love Chicago.

One if not the best game available on PS4. I was starting to get bored with the current games available on PS4. Now we have a game that really encompasses all the features for PS4. Game is a definite Win!

The game looks great, as all next gen games should, and it feels great to be able to control so many things around a city as big as Chicago. The city is detailed and immersive and the game play is solid.

The story line could have been better. But as far as game play goes this was one of the best games I have ever played. Also the story by itself takes about 15 hours to beat. So you get your money out of That alone. Including side missions and stuff makes the name that much better. Should highly suggest.

Not many people liked this game but i found it to be fun. I really enjoy this types of games but i know not everyone likes the same thing. get the demo to see if it worth getting for yourself.

Watchdogs is a complete game that has some wonderful features that takes consoles to a whole new element. Game time is mostly story mode with the ability to be able to play online with others in a snap. Others may jump in your game as well if you have been found by Blume, so BEWARE! With the same feel as GTA V, jumping into this game was relatively simple. Story was incredible but the whole thought out process is just amazing. There is so much to do and accomplish with mini games, car chases, hacking, and much more. World is open and free to roam, while violence is yours to take control. Watchdogs is a full throttle, thrilling game with a whole new experience on modern life!

The more i play this game the better it gets.There's a lot of GTA type things you can do but there's also tons of things you can do in this game that you can't in GTA. I can't wait to go online with it.

This is not GTA, its different. And thats ok. Watch Dogs is its own free roam game. And in this one u can hack! I recommend this game to anyone who likes free roam gaming, and likes something different

Great game. I had this pre ordered upon original release and have been patiently waiting to get this in my ps4. It is the 1 game that I have been waiting for and why I purchased my next gen system. 1 disappointment is not being able to use weapons while driving. Outside of that 10's across the board

Graphics are not what I was expecting, I know they downgraded the graphics. The new hacking ability is so very cool. Overall I would totally recommend this to anyone who is a fan of open world games.

It was an enjoyable game with really good graphics on the ps4 and the campaign was very interesting including that you can hack into your friends game and hack to whole city to be your weapon.

This game is by far one of the best games released yet. No it's not Grand Theft Auto, but it is a fun filled, action packed game with awesome graphics. I would highly recommend this game to anyone of age. This game will give you hours of game play and free roaming game play. A must have for PS4.

Graphically the game shines. The hacking option provides a fresh element to the game. The side missions are enjoyable and make the game interesting after the excellent story line is over

The game is a lot of fun. It's like GTA but with the hacking side it's a lot more fun in my opinion. I like how you can shape your character into what you want, whether that is good or bad. I just wish there was more to do in free roam. I seem to get a little bored if I'm not playing a mission.

Watch Dogs is an amazing open world game which will keep you entertained for hours. Due to the hype regarding the game, the actual graphics on PS4 might let you down slightly, but not enough to detract from the open world environment and missions. Overall: Highly recommend purchasing this game.

After waiting several months for this game and being very excited about it, my initial gameplay was unsatisfactory. I gave it a second chance and found that the more you play it, the more rewarding it is. Now I'm hooked! This game has a lot to offer. It's a bit like GTA meets Assassins Creed.

So the game is everything you would want/thought it would be. Major flaw is that there is some type of save game flaw. I was about halfway through the game and someone hacked in. I lost so was invited to hack another player. That player found me and killed me. When I respawned all my guns/accessories were gone. I was also unable to go back to online hacking because it said I had to unlock to be able to get it. Well unlocking is done by playing single player missions. So.. I had to restart the game and everything is back no normal so far. Who knows when/if it happens again. If ubisoft fixes that MAJOR bug and the time it takes to get online to another player this game will be great.

this game has great graphics when you played on a ps4 or xbox one. it has so much to do that some times you see your self not playing the story because their is too much to do besides the story.

This is a great game was you get into it and give it some time. The playing scheme is different from most games you play and takes getting use to but once you get use to it it's a very fun game
