Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, story, hacking mechanics, and open world of Watch Dogs. Many also appreciate the game's side missions and the price point for a pre-owned copy. However, some customers find the driving mechanics and controls challenging, while others have concerns about the level of violence depicted. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay elements outweighs the negative comments on specific aspects.

I am enjoying this game and feel confident I'll be able to get a few months out of it while waiting for the later summer through winter titles to come out (Destiny, Sunset Overdrive, Halo collection, etc). There is so much to do in this game (tons of side missions and many have unique feel to them and tons of exploring and hunting for certain things (check ins are kind of fun because of the stories they each have). I love the hacking aspect. It adds a whole new dimension from a strategic standpoint. I also enjoy the progression and skill tree aspect. I've been playing this game for about a month (get about 6-8 hours a week to play) and haven't had a chance to really play the side games (drinking/coins/etc.) but some of them look like they'll be mildly fun. I also turned multiplayer off while going through the side missions and campaign, so that's something that will probably eat up some good time down the road. I will say, the story line seems kind of lazy in comparison to GTA, but I suppose it's passable (and actual game play masks it by being fun). Also, the driving isn't the greatest. I much prefer GTA, but now that I've played the game for a good chunk of time, it's in the not terrible, but definitely not great category (somewhere in between). This is definitely the best game to hit the XB1 so far though in my opinion.

This is pretty much a knockoff of Grand theft Auto so if you like GTA you might dig it.

I enjoyed Watch Dogs immensely. The story is interesting, using hacking as a weapon during missions is so fun and the world is big for an open-world game. A few gripes I had were that the driving is not as fluid as say a GTA V, but you get used to it. Also, some hacking missions can get annoying when you have to intrude a system and bypass defenses much like in Assassin Creed games. However, those are just small issues. Overall, great game.

    Sandbox Hacking

We were all waiting on the next Grand Theft Auto but they were a now show for the NextGen! This delivered! Hacking the Utilities offered new strategies for dealing with the tasks at hand. Criminals, Police, and Terrorist Human Traffickers, it didn't matter the element as long as you had your trusty IPhone. The game is good. There is a story and a hefty amount of side missions to complete. There are mini-games like chess problems. It has some nudity so watch out for the kids. The mini-games -- digital trips -- are fun. I competed in a few online races. The best feature is invading someone else's game to hack them. It's real. You got to hide but if they find you it's game on. Interesting concept. I noticed when my level got too high nobody attempted to hack me. You have some customizations for your jacket, hats, and weapons. The soundtrack is a good mix. Overall a fun title.

    A Modern Assassin's Creed

    Posted .

Ubisoft definitely borrowed quite a few things from its Assassin's Creed franchise to make Watch Dogs...but it's okay because it's different enough that it keeps you hooked and entertained for the entirety of the game. The storyline is a little weak (hence 4 stars not 5) but it's still gripping and pulls you into the game. The challenges are challenging (not just things to cross off your list) and the reproduction of Chicago is gorgeous. The hacking is the most fun though...I spent hours hacking people's conversations, looking at their social networking data and laughing at the content that the developers put in for some of the characters. Equal parts strategy and stealth as well as driving and third person shooter, I loved this game, and can't wait for a sequel.

This game has an excellent story line and some interesting puzzle based hacking games. It's a little buggy at times, and the driving leaves some to be desired, but all around, it's a good attempt at a GTA clone.
