I contacted the warrant department and they told me it’s to be excepted due to gravity. Sounds more like a problem with the seal… I would not buy again.

Posted .Hello Madigan - We are sorry you are disappointed and that your unit is leaking. As indicated in the instruction manual, the reservoir should be emptied after each use. We recommend that you start on the lowest pressure setting that is most comfortable for you. You can adjust the pressure gradually as your gums become stronger. Don’t waste your money!

I previously had a Phillips air floss which I was very happy with. It finally broke after years of use. I decided to try Waterpik instead primarily based on the name and great price. I recommend spending more and getting a better product.
