Super effective. My dentist suggested that I get a Waterpik, so I did. The "water flossing" is an effective way to clean between your teeth and massage your gums and braces.

This Water Pik flosser is, overall, a very nice unit. It works well in terms of teeth cleaning, convenience, and versatility. Set up was very straightforward. The first instruction says to charge the battery, which it says could take up to five hours. The battery in my unit was fully charged after three. There are ten settings, numbered 1 through 10, for the power of the water jet. The manual suggests that, upon initial use, you should start with the lowest setting and work your way up until you find one that is comfortable for you. I must have tough gums because I found very quickly that the highest setting, #10, was the best for me. Using that setting, I found the flosser experience to be very much like what you feel when your dentist cleans your teeth with a water jet (at least, mine does), and it leaves you with that pleasant, mouth-tingling feeling. As instructed, I brushed my teeth before using the flosser, and it did get more food remains out of my teeth than brushing alone did. Note that the flosser uses copious amounts of water, so you will frequently be stopping it to spit out the water that accumulates in your mouth. There is a convenient on/off switch on the handle to make this process easy. Also, the motor pauses on its own at 30-second and 1-minute intervals to remind you to move to another part of your mouth. The flosser comes with six different “piks” with different-shaped ends that have names like “tongue cleaner tip” and “orthodontic tip,” but the tips are not labeled, and there are no clear pictures of them in the manual. There ARE images of the various tips on the exterior of the box, but who looks at the box, and how long do you keep it? On the other hand, people do tend to keep owner’s manuals, and it wouldn’t hurt to include the diagrams that are on the box in the manual as well. The instructions note that the flosser can be used with mouthwash and other cleaning solutions in addition to water, but I did not try this. I used only water. As I said at the top, overall, this flosser works well in cleaning your mouth, which is what you want. It’s convenient, well-designed, and versatile as well.

Very pleased with this purchase. I had never used a Waterpik before and was surprised by how clean my teeth and mouth feel after using this device.

Does what it's supposed to but it's very noisy to the point I wonder if it's defective.

Was able to put my points earned to a excellent choice. Much better than using floss. Dentist recommend also.

Hated this thing. Was difficult to use and the tank is too small

Junk! Charged it for 5 hours turned it on and very first thing it did was start leaking right where the hose connects into the wand what a joke and letdown . Returning it tomorrow to Best Buy.

Great flosser. Does what it is supposed to do, and comes with multiple floss heads so that you can try them out.

It's a nice service and works very well, wish it had a way to beat up the water as it's super cold right from the little well.

I like it so far. Looks very modern. Like that I don't have to plug in the power cord all the time, made it looks less messy.

Such a great product 10/10, I’ve been using it for the past 2 weeks and it does makes a difference

This I’d my first water flossed so out of the gate, I didn’t really know what to expect and my expectations weren’t too high. Out of the box, there’s no extra fancy wrapping, art, bells and whistles, etc. You get the standard base, water tank, and attachments for flossing. Setup is really simple, mostly you’re just plugging the bad boy in to the nearest outlet, attaching one of the floss attachments, filling the water tank, and you’re ready to go. Honestly, a child could do it with ease. Theres six different flossing attachments that you can choose from, all designed for different teeth. If you have crowns or dentures, there’s a specific one, compared to someone who might want the generic glosser, or a different attachment for those with braces. Either way, no matter what teeth you have, there’s an attachment for you. Note too that swapping attachments is real simple. Once you’ve got your attachment picked and inserted into the floss handle, and you’ve got your water in the tank, it’s flossing time. I have pretty sensitive teeth so I generally fill the tank with room temp or warm water. The water will get cold between flossing so be prepared to always fill the tank back with warm water every time you use unless you can handle cold water bursting into your gum line. You then select the appropriate pressure and get to flossing. For the record, pressure goes 1-10, even 1 is more pressure than I expected, ten is dang near a fire hose, but my girlfriend and I use 4-6 and think it’s plenty. I was pretty surprised as to how fresh my mouth felt after using this. Besides going on vacation, I don’t see myself ever using a regular floss tool again. The only downside that I can think of besides the water getting cold with time, is that the system is pretty large in stature. If you have a real small bathroom, you may want to reconsider. Even a standard bathroom, this can take up a good chunk of counter space. In a double sink/master this should be a non issue and assuming you get different attachments, you can even share the device with your roommates or spouse if you wanted. An extra bonus is that it doesn’t need to be constantly plugged in, once charged the device holds battery for about a month so you won’t have cords dangling around the bathroom. Either way, I love this. An obvious buy that I look forward to using everyday and can’t get enough of. Thumbs up

Used this brand for years , Great for particle removal your brush does not remove . Also not tippy like older models

I’ve been a WaterPik user for decades. I’ll write this review as if you’re a long time user also. This new model is really exciting for several reasons. First of all, the WaterPik ION is cordless. I was so accustomed to the cord of my old one taking up room at my sink, sometimes getting in the way. That’s gone now, and this gives me another electrical outlet always available also. My biggest worry was that this new model wouldn’t have the cleaning strength of my old, corded model. It absolutely does, and it’s considerably smaller, giving me more room at my sink. The stream strength is fully adjustable also. Here are some improvements over the old corded model: There’s a built in timer. It pauses the stream briefly at the 30 second and one-minute mark, to remind you to move from your upper teeth to the lower and then when you’re finished. The handle has a magnet built in which “docks” it to the unit when you’re finished. The charging cord is magnetic also, and just clicks into the device at charging time. (the instructions say that each charge should last three to four weeks of once daily use.) There is an “on/off” switch on the tip handle, so after you turn the motor on, you can just turn the flow on and off at the handle, instead of needing two hands, one to hold the tip in your mouth and the other to reach for the power switch. You regular corded WaterPik users will understand what I mean. The tips from the older corded water piks will work with this unit, so if you have some extras you can use them with this new model! This cordless model comes with two standard tips and a variety of other specialty ones. This new WaterPik comes with a three year warranty, so just slip your Best Buy receipt in the manual when you file it away. The only con I can find comparing this to the corded models is it offers no storage space for your extra tips. I just sealed them in a small plastic sandwich bag to store under my sink. Bottom line, if you’re an old time WaterPik user as I am, you will absolutely love the new WaterPik ION. It has all the features you’ve come to appreciate, plus the benefit of cordless operation and a smaller footprint on your sink.

Works nicely for a smaller unit, but if you use it more than a minute a day or two people use it each day, it will lose it’s charge in one week.

It gets the stuff that brushing and flossing missed. A great tool that my dentist recommends.

I needed to replace the water flosser that broke. This water flosser will fulfill my needs.
