    I needed a second mechanical hard drive in my new computer that has a SSD built in. The 500 GB SSD was not enough - so I wanted a reasonable priced 7500 RPM drive with at least a 1TB capacity. This drive met all my needs and was in by budget range. Good warranty and I have had very good luck with Western Digital drives.

    It was a replacement hard drive for a client that was attacked by ransomware. I never trust the original drive in those circumstances, better to do the system over from scratch with a known good drive. I like WD, and the Black line has a 5 year limited warranty, the best in the business.
