Does fine. Got it put in when my hard drive went down.

I use this for games and video recordings and it loads games fast enough that I didn’t mind shifting a few games off my SSD to this. It also is used for my game recordings using Shadowplay.

My original drive finally decided to become balky....at the most inoportune time. I decided to drop down in size, based on my usage. Although I had some initial problems during install (NOT due to the new unit, but rather my existing unit) everything ended up well, and I'm now working back up to speed, and absolutely no problems.

Not as big or as fast as some but it works for me!

I have use WD product in the past and find that they built in lasting quality. They package their products well and include easy to follow instruction.

I needed a new hard drive for a older pc. Western Digital has been making drives forever. This one works great

The external drive worked as advertised. The people in your Geek Squad were exceptional. Polite, respectful and very attentive. Can't say enough. I don't like to rate with 5 stars because I always feel there is room for improvement.

I had a hard-drive failure on the secondary raid drive in one of my work computers. When I went to BB to get a new one they had a few different Western Digital choices (red, blue, black) I went with this one b/c it matched the exact specs of the old drive. Installation was a breeze, and the computer just rebuilt the raid, so it was literally a plug-n-play situation... couldn't be easier!

Arrived in a timely manner. Item installed and performed flawlessly. Very pleased with this product.

I updated all internal components of my computer. I wanted a resonably prices HD with higher RPMs than the WD-Blue. This WD-Black has been working for a year.

Bought on sale. Five year warranty. Read and write speeds very good, almost no vibration, and totally silent for the first 10 hours or so of use. It then began making a loud howling mechanical noise. Noticed that the pitch of the howling did not vary as the drive spun down, indicating that it was some sort of mechanical resonance inside the drive. Erased the drive and returned to the store. Too bad, I otherwise really liked the drive but the mechanical noise suggested that it would likely soon fail, an "infant mortality" reliability issue for this particular drive.

I ended up returning this hard drive due to finding a 4t on sale. I'm sure this hard drive works as it should

We use these drives for replacement workstation Hard Drives in our older Mac Pro towers. They have the quality they need for sustained operations!

What can you say about a hard drive. You install it and after that you do not have to do anything mechanical with it.

Apparently you’re paying for the ‘black’ title and it doesn’t mean much from other reviews I’ve read but I never had an issue with this puppy.

If you don't need more than 1TB, This drive works great, and fast!
