Only 7200 rpm available locally

SATA Install procedure is Byzantine!

Liked the old one

Didn't Work

I'm sure it doesn't reflect all of WD's product, however it was quite a let down after hearing how good they were. I saw the sale it was on and thought it was a good time to get it, as my current TB HDD is about 150GB from being full. Found a better deal elsewhere and will be returning this.

drive errors and failed BIOS tests

Spent all day trying to get manufacturer recovery or Windows recovery to build OS, and ran into errors. Tried diskpart commands to initialize drive and ran into CRC errors, unable to proceed. Ran BIOS test and disk failed the tests -- seems to be hardware problem. I plan to return and will probably get a different type of drive.
