bad hard drive out of the box worked for two days trying to get it formatted then took it in for service were i was told it was a bad hard drive threw away the hard drive as i didn't think i would be able to return and my time is important to me so i lost two days paid for service and out the price 79 doors

Plugged in to my docking station to format. Nothing. Wouldn't spin. Brought back to BB and exchanged for another, same problem. Bought WD Mainstream. That worked.

purchased a brand new unit and after 5 weeks it failed it's SMART check and began having problems with the read head getting stuck

1. If best buy took the time to respone to my cal resale account 2. bought items on line and paid for items up front.then the same day at pickup were told items were not in store.

It stopped working after one night! So it was not a good experience.

Poor service charged $150 doesn’t work never go Best Buy

Originally I ordered a SANDisk SSD through BestBuy online. When the order was not filled within the promised 7 days, I decided to get a different disk drive. After looking at review for various SSD drives, I noticed that every make/model appeared to have almost 20% ratings less than 5 stars. So I decided to look at disk drives again and saw this model at BB, and they had it in stock. It is not quite as fast as an SSD, but it is not noisy at all (I have a quiet computer tower - nanoxia). So far I am very satisfied. Hopefully I will never need the 3-yr warranty. I don't know if I could recommend it for a laptop, but I am happy with the performance. I don't do gaming, just typically email/websurfing, and PVR.

This ite has crashed twice. However, may be other issues.

Just picked this up yesterday to replace a dead hd. Not sure why the model number is different in the Best Buy listing, but the model number on the actual hd is WD1003FZEX. That was the exact model I was searching for on all the usual online retailers and pcpartpicker. Super easy install on my Corsair Carbid 400c.

i had to return the drive. I ordered the wrong one.

Purchased as 2nd drive for new desktop computer. Easy to install, fit slot perfectly. Mounting screws included and cable was pre-installed in computer so connection was easy. PNP so drive was recognized automatically. Delivery to my local store was fast and pickup was efficient.

This hard drive did what it was told. That’s all I can say about it.

Bestbuy recommended this for my build and I can say I was disappointed the least bit!

I purchased three of these drives According to the Western digital web site, the warranty on the drives I just received runs out August 5, 2022. Even after I registered the drive the date did not change. I have a Black drive in my computer that has been humming right along for close to ten years now. When I got it, the date of mfg was only a few months before the purchase. After I registered it, the W.D. website showed a five year warranty period. Not so with these drives.
