This was the best purchase ive made for my ps5 ive had more storage fkr the list of games coming iut this year!!

Best extended memory for PS5. Fits right inside console easily. Seamlessly play games. I find it plays games much fasted on via this chip compared to PS5 original memory.

Definitely extremely useful for people who like to have a wide selection of games ready to go at a given time. Just plug it in and that’s the end of it. Hard to imagine life without it.

Installed easily into PS5. Just works, and seems to be as fast as the PS5's internal storage. If you're using with PS5, definitely make sure you get the heatsink version. If you're buying for a desktop, check your motherboard, as it may already have a heatsink over the area where you can install SSDs. (E.g., the Asus gaming motherboard that I have does have a heatsink already for SSD installation. It's actually more difficult to install an SSD if it already has one. (Generally, as with the Asus, the motherboard heatsink can be removed, but that's just more steps. Theoretically, you could remove the heatsink from an SSD that has one, but that is prone to mistakes and potential harm to the SSD.)

Great purchase for my PS5, the Samsung 980 Pro requires a firmware update to give you read speeds of 6500 mb/s but this SSD by Western Digital gives you that same speed right out the box (for $20 less at the time of this writing). Installing to the PS5 took less than 5 minutes, I do suggest watching a video on how to remove the cover plate. Transferring from the console SSD to the WD SSD is really fast. So far I don't have any issues to report although I tried to check my warranty status through Western Digital and they said my drive didn't show up. I provided photo evidence of the serial number of the drive and my purchase receipt to them and i'm still waiting to hear back from them because the description here says I should be covered for 5 years from the purchase date by the manufacter. I'll be sure to provide an update here if I encounter any issues. Thanks Best Buy.

Really liked it. Works really fast. No problems. Had it for several months. Very easy to install. No need to add any thermal adhesives. Definitely recommend.

Fast and easy to install after watching a video to be super careful, also like how it was 2.01 TB for formatting so you have the full 2TB unlike some other drives you end up with slightly less.

I brought this for my husband to go with his PS5 since he had to uninstall games because of lack of storage. We caught it on sale and purchased the 2TB. Installtion was literally easy as 1,2,3. The PS5 had a space for this. We remived the cover, removed screw, added the 2TB, screwed in place, put the cover back. The system recognized it and that was it. He has been able to play games with no issues and not having to uninstall! This is a must if you have a PS5! It is a little pricey, but we caught a great sale for $229 for 2TBs.

This is actually the 2nd time I bought this and it works amazingly for my PS5 and my PC and their both 2TB, if I ever need more space on my pc I’ll gladly buy one of these again to fill the other slot

Great for a PS5! Super easy to install and it’s super fast and you can play your PS5 games from it unlike an external HD and comes with a heat sink on it.

Super easy to use it’s just plug and play. No complicated set up at all. Perfect for that extra storage you will need.

I needed more internal memory for my PS5 and this extra 2TB is just enough to get me by. Overall, more is great, but the internal (~800GB) and this boost of 2TB is just right for the average gamer.

This is a great NVME SSD drive for the price. Plenty of space for current and future games I want. Very easy to install, took only a few minutes. Games now load much faster.

Just installed this tonight. Easy to lay into the PS5 and easy to format. Looking forward to using this. Sony’s PS5 is such high quality: the screw that holds the cover over the memory bay has a triangle, circle, square, and x logo on the head. The design is so thorough. Makes me really happy to know I bought this. Part of me wishes I’d bought the 4tb, but the man in me says I don’t need to spend that much money and this is perfectly adequate. I prefer physical games anyway, since I can lend to friends and don’t have to worry about the store closing down at some point or removing titles from it that I once bought.

I purchased this to be able to add more memory to my PS5. I decided to go with an internal ssd instead of an additional external hard drive. The ssd install was pretty easy. Hardly any effort thanks to YouTube.

WORTH IT!! i got it on sale and it was soo worth it to store all my game, the speed at which the game start is really fast. for some game, it even beat the ps5 internal storage when loading and starting game and I was so impress. i say this is worth it for the money because it is not that expensive and run really great. i bought the one with the heatsink because I just want to plug it in and not have to think about it after that. this thing don't get really hot, I even measure it and it run amazingly. it worth it if you need more storage for the ps5, definitely recommend!

Works great in PS5 only had it a short time only time will tell if it holds up. Previous one was the XPG Blade which i used for a year and it was great as well never let me down. the XPG is currently in my Asus Laptop.

My internet access sucks so I can not delete and redownload with ease like my urban counterparts, so this gives me the space I need to keep things banked until I want to utilize them effortlessly.
