Hard drive crashed on my Samsung computer. We have total tech support with Best Buy so they installed it free. Seems to work fine. So I would recommend the hard drive but I would really recommend total tech support!!!

I have recommended Western Digital drives for over 20 years and still do today thanks to their reliability. Thanks to Best Buy Charleston for having this in stock so I could expedite fixing a computer for a friend.

Are they really still selling this? Like really, this is a good but old hard drive.

Had Bestbuy install the new harddrive, move all my files from the old troublesome harddrive to the new one and my computer now works flawlessly. A great harddrive for a really great price.

I should have went with an ssd, but i was looking for space and not speed at the time. Few months later, I regret not spending a little extra on an ssd this hdd is much slower then a ssd. At the moment, I have it in my MacBook Pro and sure it’s slow starting up, but for everyday use, it’s not bad.

I managed to crash and burn my hard drive beyond repair. The Geek Squad replaced it with this one ahead of scheduled time. I have had no problems with it and love that Geek Squad will be there if I need them.

I brought WD - Mainstream 1TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for my laptop because my old one has worn out. I install it on my toshiba laptop, install window, and booted it just fine. The speed was a little quicker than my old hard drive, which is nice. For 60 dollars, you can get yourself a 1tb hard drive for your storage needs.

In retail stores like Best Buy, consumer grade Hard Drives are all pretty much the same. Suggest you shop price and Warranty rather than manufacturer. If you need a high performance Hard Drive, you can try an SSD drive (assuming size and price meet your needs), or if you need a High Performance mechanical Hard Drive you'll have to do more research staring with Seagate and Western Digital.

I am mainly using this as an added hard drive on a lap top that already has a SSD for the Windows 10 and using this for everything else. Easy to install and setup. Only have had it for a month, but no issues so far.

Had to get this in order to replace the one In my ps4 that went out on me. So far so good also this one seems to be a good deal faster than the one that came in the system
