    Bought this drive to replace a failed drive in our old laptop. Geek Squad installed and reinstalled the operating system. Now we have a nice back up computer.

    Hard drive crashed on me, took my laptop to geek squad the same day and they had it back to me within 24 hours with the new harddrive and programs I requested be installed ready to go.

    Ive always used WD because they last so long. Read/write times arent impressive because it is mechanical but its perfect once paired with an ssd for a boot drive

    Purchased this because my laptop HDD died on me. Anyway the IOPS and data transfer rate is average and good for daily storage use. My laptop is dual storage, HDD and SSD for OS.

    You will need a backup slash drive or any disk to restart and install windows again. Make sure to back up your laptop if it still accessible.

    Good printer, but set up instructions were not very clear. Took three tries before everything worked correctly. I'm still getting emails to complete the instant ink sign up even though I have an email that says I'm all set with a two month free trial. Tedious at best!

    I use WD in all my macs and I have this one in my macbook. Set it up for dual boot with some cloning and off it went! Works fine, my only complaint is that it can be slow booting at times.

    This HD is a second replacement for my garbage Dell laptop. The first Hard Drive was replaced 4 months after I bought it. Just 4 months after that I had to have the RAM replaced, 5 months after that I replaced the HD AGAIN with this. My experience with a Dell has been less than stellar.....
