great drive the price was right and I was able to repair my laptop

My old laptop needed a replacement hard drive. This one was a 1 Terabyte drive at a great price. It was easy to install and works fine.

I purchased this to upgrade the 500gb hd that comes with the the ps4. Installation was very easy and it fits perfectly. Now I have double the space.

After the hard drive went bad in the Mac Pro, this was a must buy. After reading reviews and having it perform for a month now. Solid buy.

The WD Mainstream 1TB SATA drive is an excellent upgrade or replacement drive in any laptop or gaming system. I've found it to be very reliable, and its 1TB size provides more storage than most factory installed laptop drives. I use it, and I recommend it.

I used this drive to replace a failed hard drive in an old Windows 7 laptop, where the old drive was destroyed by updating to Windows 10 after Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7. This drive worked perfectly! I was able to reinstall my operating system from a recovery disc I had made years ago, updated to Windows 10 and no longer have the 100% Disc usage problem that destroyed the old drive.

I had no issues. Has worked great. Set was easy and the cloud backup work Ed.

I bought this to replace the hard drive in my MacBook Pro. Works great! I have a very large iTunes library and it runs like a champion now!

This drive worked great as a replacement for a failed other brand. I have been in the computer repair business for 15 years and Western Digital is my preferred brand for traditional hard drives (both laptop and desktop). There will always be a small percentage of drives with issues - bad sectors, fail in a year or two, etc. In my experience, WD drives are the most reliable on the market these days. I won't bash any other manufacturer here, but if it is not WD, I don't put them in my customers' machines.

It's a Western Digital hard drive which means it's reliable, will last a good time, and is relatively fast

I was doing a swap over on my older mac. I took out a 250gb drive and put that in an enclosure and put the terabyte into my mac. I love the space. Since its an older laptop I wasn't looking for an SSD but this was great for the price. I got mine on sale.

As far as a spinning storage drive goes in 2024, WD manages perfect for mass storage on security system and at a perfect price point. It wont be the fastest storage retrieval but is reliable and comes with fantastic warranty.

This hard drive has lots of storage for low price. It's not the quickest or newest form of hard drive technology, but it allowed me to repair a laptop with a broken hard drive and increase the storage space for a very reasonable price.
