Hard drive crashed on my Samsung computer. We have total tech support with Best Buy so they installed it free. Seems to work fine. So I would recommend the hard drive but I would really recommend total tech support!!!

Still working like a champ a year later. I used it to replace my OEM laptop hard drive when I began getting BIOS warnings. This new WD has worked smoothly so far.

In retail stores like Best Buy, consumer grade Hard Drives are all pretty much the same. Suggest you shop price and Warranty rather than manufacturer. If you need a high performance Hard Drive, you can try an SSD drive (assuming size and price meet your needs), or if you need a High Performance mechanical Hard Drive you'll have to do more research staring with Seagate and Western Digital.

I managed to crash and burn my hard drive beyond repair. The Geek Squad replaced it with this one ahead of scheduled time. I have had no problems with it and love that Geek Squad will be there if I need them.

I brought WD - Mainstream 1TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for my laptop because my old one has worn out. I install it on my toshiba laptop, install window, and booted it just fine. The speed was a little quicker than my old hard drive, which is nice. For 60 dollars, you can get yourself a 1tb hard drive for your storage needs.

I bought this drive to replace the 250 GB in my PlayStation 3. Now I have more storage for the family game console than you can even buy from Sony brand new!
