Bought it to upgrade my storage on my ps4 and it worked great been having it for almost 2 years with no problem.

This item was a perfect match for the dead hard drive that came with the laptop. Was able to reinstall operating system with a flash drive. Works great.

Great Drive to upgrade with. I had an 500 gig HD go bad on my Acer Laptop and replaced it with the 1TB drive from Best Buys. Install was a snap and it was able to boot up with the rescue disk from Acer.

I had a computer malfunction near the end of 2018. I was concerned that I would lose all my data. I immediately went to Best Buy and bought this 1TB Hard Drive, hooked it up and backed up all my information. This turned out to be fortunate as my computer bit the dust about two weeks later. However, all my important data survived because it was on my new Western Digital hard drive. When my new computer arrived, I downloaded all my information to the new computer and added my "new" hard drive to the computer. This was a serious success story for me.

my laptop's hard drive died. In a pinch, I bought the WD Mainstream internal Serial ATA hard drive because it was recommended. Easy to install, it worked like a charm. Highly recommended.

As far as a spinning storage drive goes in 2024, WD manages perfect for mass storage on security system and at a perfect price point. It wont be the fastest storage retrieval but is reliable and comes with fantastic warranty.
