It wont be the fastest storage retrieval but is reliable and comes with fantastic warranty.

Great Replacement Hard Drive

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this drive to replace a failed hard drive in an old Windows 7 laptop, where the old drive was destroyed by updating to Windows 10 after Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7. This drive worked perfectly! I was able to reinstall my operating system from a recovery disc I had made years ago, updated to Windows 10 and no longer have the 100% Disc usage problem that destroyed the old drive.

Reliable laptop drive for a reasonable price

I've found it to be very reliable, and its 1TB size provides more storage than most factory installed laptop drives. I use it, and I recommend it.

Western Digital for the win

I have been in the computer repair business for 15 years and Western Digital is my preferred brand for traditional hard drives (both laptop and desktop). There will always be a small percentage of drives with issues - bad sectors, fail in a year or two, etc. In my experience, WD drives are the most reliable on the market these days. I won't bash any other manufacturer here, but if it is not WD, I don't put them in my customers' machines.
