geek squad told me which hard drive to get .. it was defective

Had new hard drive installed and laptop failed again after two weeks. Not very happy

2 week after installed got Blue Screen of Death!!!

This is a great harddrive for the price if you just need storage. I put this in my DJ laptop and was not dissapointed it is reliable and transferring my data and os to the new harddrive was not to difficult. This read speed is much slower than my alienware and if ur going to put this in a gaming laptop put something at least with 7200 rps in it but for any other purpose this is great

Needed to replace HD in Older laptop. Based on my research this HD looked like a good replacement. Extremely satisfied with the product and how easy it was to install and get working.

Price was good for the WD 1 tb laptop hard drive. Easy to install

My favorite laptop died. I took it to geek squad because I’m lazy and it was kind of nice to have help. So they suggested this hard drive- it was a $60 perfect fix instead of a new $1000 laptop. I’m so grateful and it’s fast, quiet and I believe is not the usual mechanics of older hard drives. Hopefully it will last even longer.

I got this to upgrade my PS4 from 500MB to a nice 1TB...the price and reviews were too great to pass up. Installing was very simple, and with in 10 mins I was ready to play! Highly recommend this for anybody that wants to upgrade their PS4!

Needed space in my playstation and was recommended this and it has worked great. It runs better and I have plenty of space. Was also easy to install.

My HP laptop hard drive crashed and I got this one from best buy. It was easy to install and works great.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this to upgrade alienware laptop and many people said that 5400RPM was very slow compared with 7200RPM. Not sure about other hard drives but this particular drive is rather fast. I find it almost as fast if not faster than my old 7200rpm hard drive. I definitely recommend this hard drive for anyone looking for more space whether for their laptops or any other device that can use this hard drive.

I bought this hard drive to replace a full 500GB Hitachi hard drive on a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro 15 and the results were stellar. It consumes very low battery power and it's very quiet. I had no trouble transferring the data from the old drive to the new drive. I would always recommend Western Digital for hard drives as I already have an external 2TB portable Passport drive for Mac. The best part is all the SPACE that my computer has now!

Currently using this in my macbook pro! Works flawlessly and no problems what so ever!

I'm a little suspicious when talking about HDs in the past I've tried a range of different brands. But the ones that seems to last longer was the Western Digital ones. After a couple months after the upgrade on my mac seems to be working fine. Since it's no the main HD on my MacBook I don't know the speed comparison with the old one hitachi. I hope it lasts as long as the usual.

Good price, reliable, does not go to sleep mode and prevent backup

I should have done my hard drive upgrade back day one on Nov 15 2013. A must to do on your list if you own a PS4. My old drive is going in my PS3. Just a reminder have a USB flash drive with current firm ware update.
